You'll seldom see me in this thread, as I generally prefer things stock.

But I'm putting damping mats on the insides of the door outer skins and the difference in noise level is impressive.

I only did the driver side Sunday and ended up driving the car to work today. Strange to have my car noticeably quieter on one side vs. the other.

The only other mod I've done is the TRD rear sway bar that I installed a couple of months ago.

Both mods well worth the time and effort for anyone.

I have a new paint scheme, I call it 'pollen green', what do you think? Should I keep it or get rid of it?

I washed and polished/waxed my wifes car on saturday so it would be pretty for Mother's day and the car was covered like this by the time I was done. But at least under all the pollen it shinny.

I haven't yet, I was waiting until my next oil change, since I'm out of the warranty period.

Installed my Head Unit.. A Pioneer FH-X720BT, went well, despite my mechanical inabilities.. Overall fairly neat job, and only had to call Crutchfield twice.. More details on the audio section of PC. IMG_1198.JPG

When I got home, I tested the LEDs using a 9v battery, all was good.

I installed the driver side, pulled the wires into the cabin and tested again with a 9v battery to make sure the wiring was still bueno. Getting the mirror to snap back onto that white plate on the motor was kind of a a bitch, but everything was otherwise fairly straightforward given that I was following the steps others here have documented so well
Now I need to read through the 50+ page install thread to understand how to properly wire the lights up to the car.

Wire the driver side to driver side footwell, do the same for the passenger side on the passenger footwell. Run the puddle/courtesy lights to the harness for the overhead dome (above the shifter). That's what I did for mine.

I installed cheap fog light kit from ebay and the switch stays on even when ignition is off.
    View attachment 79586

I realized that the 12V that feeds the switch LED came from the fuse box where it supplies the fog lights and thats the reason why the lights remains on. So I revised by rewiring it.

There are 3 wires the goes to the fire wall/ the black with white sripe wire is the 12v that goes to the switch and the brown wire is the 12v back to the relay. I snip the black wire (ground) which I don't need since I tap this wire to the bolt under the dash

    Here's the revise switch.

I just finished wiring the LED mirrors and I think everything works as it should. I followed Sean's wiring guidelines for the most part, except that I tapped the footwell light for always on 12v power to the puddle lights.

Thanks to Sean and others who posted the excellent install instructions and pics on this forum.

You can tap your puddle light through the blue wire on the A-pillar. It's intimidating but it's worth the try. I tapped my footwell light back and front, door sill plate to the A-pillar blue wire.

Yeah, I tapped that blue wire right at the headliner, to tie into the puddles' black wire and the footwell light feeds the puddle's white wire. After skimming much of the 53 page LED mirror thread, it seems that discovering that blue wire was a huge find that simplified the puddle lights wiring for knuckleheads like me to get a clean and correctly functioning install.
