I like my little Prius C so much that now I'm looking for another "Toyota" for a road car. Consumer Reports gives the ES 300 h good marks but I'd like to know where to find some real owners experiences. Pointers to other forums would be appreciated.
I drove the 2014 ES300H for a week, when my other car was in for service. Google search for " Club Lexus"
In the Toyota hybrid forum there are a couple threads on the Avalon hybrid which the ES is a gussied up version of.
Thanks. I stumbled upon that myself. Since I have a Toyota dealer in town but not Lexus, that will probably be what I look at first.
What ? Meaning you liked those things or didn't like ?? I am mainly interested in "creature comforts", like cabin noise and ride and seat comfort. Coming from your LS, you should be a pretty good judge of things like that I would think.
The ES is built in Japan, the Avalon is built in US, so you may see a difference in build quality. I have a LS400, best car I have ever owned, its a keeper.
Okay creature comforts! Well, wind noise was pretty bad compare to my Lexus, seats comfort is okay. The interior looks too cheap.
I had the latest generation Prius IV (2010), which I liked a lot. I currently have a Lexus ES300h. With out a doubt, the ES is the best of multiple hybrids I've had. It is smooth, comfortable, luxurious and performs admirably. The car's reliability (like the Prius) has been flawless, and it has awesome room in the backseat. Gas mileage, for it's size and weight is quite good, about an average of 39 mpg. All in all, this is compelling car, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Tweaked appearance and new features round out the 2016 changes. I had an awesome 1999 Lexus ES. I am currently on hold for a Prius Plug-In/Toyota NS4, or back to a 2016 Lexus Esh.
