Wow missed this one...I read that overall April USA car sales are fantastic, so it will be interesting to see Prius sales. I note that CA green HOV stickers will be running out about the same time as the PiP production stoppage.

I would consider upgrading from my 2012 PIP if the new one allows 70 m/h in EV, a bit more oomph in that mode, and a bit more range. Plus, fix the poorly-thought-out radio controls and put the Map button back on the wheel.

I would encourage the capability of additional EV range.

let's turn this into another 'wish list for next pip' thread. 500 posts isn't enough in the other one. plus prius team will be reading every idea here and probably implementing into next pip, which will delay it until 2020.

    What Bisco said!

Having said that, where are Toyota's EVs?

OK geez that did it, all of a sudden I feel a new song coming on:

    My Favorite PiP

PiPs in White blizzard and clearwater Blue ones,
Bright LED lights and warm heated Softex,
Lithium batt'ries for hundreds of miles,
These are a few of my favorite things.

    CarPlay and 'lectrically defrosted windows,
Solar re-charging then keep the darn ICE off!
    Widely available, all 50 states,
Just a few more of my favorite things.

When the batt dies; and rear tire flats, guys,
    When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things, and make a new post, right here

OK let me work on it
    EDIT: added 2nd verse

More EV range would be good as long as it doesn't rob the cargo/trunk space.

We also need a Black PiP.

Toyota Executives have made it very clear that they don't want to build EVs. They see the future in Fuel Cells and are constantly pushing the message that EVs won't work and fast charging will crash the grid.

And that is why so many of us are replacing our Prius with Leafs and Teslas.

I would have been happy to do a PHV/PiP instead but they don't want to sell those in my state or in any quantity. Its just a compliance car.
