Hey guys I've search everywhere in this forum for the license plate mod, I'm in NJ and the require front license plates, I don't want the dealer to gouge holes in the front bumper, has anyone done this mod to their prius?
Thanks, just found out plate already ,mounted when the car was in processing, wash and detail, they mounted the plate.. arrrgh..
If they used the backing plate, it doesn't look too bad, kinda integrated. Down the road if you take it off I believe there's little push-in caps, nearly flush appearance and body coloured. My 2 cents, I would just go with the flow. It will be easier if you want to grill block.
Definitely drilled holes in the bumper cover to mount. Check out bumperplugs.com, others have found suitable plugs at hardware stores and painted them to match.
