I get separation anxiety everytime I hand off my car at the dealership for maintenance and when i get it back I do a complete body check. And it seems like I'm asking my prii, "Are you okay?"

Now that i have the auto folding mirrors I made sure they know about it otherwise they might unfold it manually. Damn! What happens i they did that I will be so pissed.

This! I just got my JDM power folding mirrors on and I cringe at the thought of someone attempting to manually fold the mirrors. I brought the Prius for scheduled maintenance service and they said it is not in their policy to manually fold the mirrors. Still, they were nice enough to print and put up a sign on the windshield to not fold the mirrors manually.

Also, now that I have the Prius lowered on TRD lowering springs, I feel the need to tell them to be careful when going through bumps and slopes.

You should grab a label maker and create one you can stick on your mirrors that states

"Caution! Automatic Folding mirrors! Do not manually fold or face the consequences!"

    Hahaha! :D

    Great and expensive thread!
So far I've just done the cheap mods, led lights, Hids and the plastic Covers on the doors from China (which only took about a week to get, after seeing them here).
I like the folding mirrors, so I may do that in the future.

For now though, I am really interested in the DRL and headlights on the same time Mod! Could someone please point me in that direction?
Is there a thread on it (couldn't find one) or is there a list w instructions?

    Thank you!

    was a pretty simple mod...

take off sides and beige-matching vents
    [IMG]

fail horribly at CF wrapping and destroy the pics for any evidence of terrible modding. (think there was too much texture on the plastic to be adhesive.)

when all else fails, just plasti-dip
    [IMG]

turned out okay... theres 4 coats, but will have to do another due to scratches from trying to put back on.

but regardless... no more bright beige pillars being seen from outside!

Sure I guess you took Tylenol Extra strength while wrapping it with CF.
    Great job though.

Hi. Is it a pretty simple install? just backing up onto ramps to access? I think I'm going to want one.

fog light leds went out. Received new ones under warranty. What a pain to change out.

Remove 4 screws then turn wheel in each direction to access each fog light.

Remove and replace leds and then reinstall all screws.

I guess it would have been easier if I had a lift. Oh well all done.:D

Replaced the stock 2.5" squawkers with a pair of Pioneer TS-A878 3.5" 2-way speakers.
Yeah, they sound much better and with the grills and A-pillars back on, it just looks stock. These $35 speakers seem to be a great bang for the buck.

Fitting them required just a tiny bit of cutting on the dash.
I wanted to reuse the factory connector which had a 6.8uf capacitor to function as a high-pass filter that filters out frequencies below about 6000Hz. I desoldered that capacitor and replaced it with a 100uf to filter frequencies below about 400Hz.

    On to the porn...

Stock grill. I cut that lip with a dremel roughtly where the sloppy yellow line is drawn, so that it's flush and won't hit the speaker.

New capacitors to serve as 400Hz high-pass filters

New caps and wires soldered onto the factory connector. Desoldering on those plastic connectors was a little tricky and I melted the blue plastic in a couple spots.

Yeah, super easy install. I backed into a set of Ramps, remove the rubber hanger from the muffler, remove the four bolts (two on the muffler and two on the tow hook), place hitch and tighten down the four bolts. I chose not to run the wiring harness since I won't actually tow anything that would need it but I could also go back later and add that if I choose. Good luck!

Okay. Cool. Thanks!! I had a trunk mount from a previous car, but I don't want to use that and not be able to use the hatch.
