So in term of the 3 wires that need to be tapped to get the speed sensors in, could you be a little more specific of where these wires are? I know you mentioned it in referenced to a picture, but i can't seem to find the picture anymore

Well I got my Nav unit upgrade today, and of course I dont have the jumper cable for #3 # 6 and #11 slots on the radio? Is there somewhere you can purchase this or is it inside the wiring tucking in the main console? I would attach a picture but its not letting me....anyways any help for this jumper cable would be appreciated as the APPS button doesnt work, GPS doesnt work and the Car functions dont work.

Where did you get the Plug #11 to Plug #3 and #6 y cable?

OK well I figured it out so wanted to post here in case anyone else has this trouble in the future the part you need is called:
    Entune Pass Through Harness
Connects the Entune Navigation Module to the Display Audio
    Toyota Part: PT296-47120-AB

I searched ebay and found one relatively cheap, so yay! ill have navigation and almost everything working![IMG]

mmmm. The Toyota part: PT296-47120-AB is the Navi Module only (that goes under the display radio).

Do you need the "Y" cable only or the module only or both? My understanding at the beginning of your posts was that you need only the "Y" Cable correct me if I'm wrong.

The 86842-YY030 is the real part that you need if you miss that "Y" wiring.

I see your guys issue, the radio you buy should comes with that plug in.... It is part of the radio.. I don't know why one would sell it without the cable.

For the 3 wire, look in the back of the radio harness, it is missing.. you need to find the same size pin plug it in to the harness and run the wire out so you can tap into the car (junction connector) and speed sensor (different module)

Repost since people said they can't finid picture in the original post.

Any way to add the Model 3 radio to a Model 2? | PriusChat

This is the junction connector, it is tape up in black electrical tape found to the support arm under the passenger dash airbag in the main wiring cable.

This is how I run two (Alarm cable wire) into the junction connector back to the radio harness.

    Now every thing works

This is the proximity sensor module with the harness remove, you need to tap into one of the wire for speed signal

    Radio G78 -9 and G78-10 to Junction connector - 5 and -16 per above pic IMG_2018.jpg,
Radio G78 - 17 to Speed Signal cable on the G66-6 IMG 2015.jpg

XM Antenna, any $15 ebay one works, you just have to strip the head and make it connect to a square head to the unit.
For GPS antenna, same thing, any Toyota / Lexus GPS would work. Toyota Car Navigation Units GPS Antenna 09 | eBay

ok im about ready to try to get my wiring done for the speed and car functions to be displayed in the OEM unit that is working great minus the car functions.

From what I understand I need some generic Alarm cable wire from Amazon (what gauge of wire?)

Also i get the Radio to the junction connector part but am confused where the G78 -17 pin goes as I dont know where the G66-6 connect is?

If you could post a picture of where the proximity sensor module is Id appreciate it thanks for all the great help cant wait to make this work !

Looks like the board remove some of the image I have, they think could be copyrighted ?

Here is the plug to the Proximity Sensor module, it is under the dash on the passenger side. Under the passenger airbag behind the right vent. See photo attached, and the plug which I unpluged from the module.

    Here is the junction connector

G66-6 is the proxmity sensor on the previous message that's where you tap for the the speed signal

any type of wire would work since this is low current. Radio, alarm, radio shack, whatever you can find, I use alarm wire because I have some in the garage. Speaker wire would work too

Awesome!! yes, these were the pictures i was looking for! thanks a lot wmo168! goodluck rossgeek333 on the install! I almost have everything ready for the install too!

wm0168, another question. I haven't had a chance to look at the hardness at the back of the radio yet, but are the pins for the car data and speed sensors there? or do you have to add wires into the hardness itself. If you have to add wires, where did you get the wires with the pins that plugs into the harness. I don't know the exact name for it, sorry. I hope you know what i'm talking about.

The harness has no pin at all and no wire running into it. You need to lift up the harness tab so you can add the same type pin in there. (Female) Toyota may sell it or you can find a similar harness from a Toyota on ebay and take it apart from there and use. I went ebay buy a harness and i took the wire from there. I still have some if anyone need it

Toyota does sell harness repair. If one of the toyota harness broke they do repair it and not replace the whole harness in car. I may have the part number for that. They have a harness repair manual from the factory

Thanks a lot for the info! I might have so extra harnesses laying around. I haven't started on the installation yet, but just another quick question. The dash piece that has to be removed to access the junction connectors and the proximity sensors, is the piece being held on by just tabs and clips, or do you remember if there are any screws that has to be removed to take the dash piece off?

    Thanks again for your help!

Erased all previous data from the unit. I don't see an option to change the state when I go into Setup.

Thought perhaps needs Entune update. Tried to do with app on my iPhone... Fail. I'm now searching for file to download to a USB.

    S fmihoe ng atalk

Does the antenna go into 4 or 9?

Entune has been updated. Still can't get GPS to register actual location. Went for a 10-minute drive hoping that it just needed to grab a satellite, but it still thinks I'm in California.

    ent fro hone using Talk

This was the problem. I had the GPS antenna into the XM antenna port (4). Plugged GPS antenna into GPS antenna port (9), and we're live.

Thanks to ROLOPR for answering my PM.
