I would like to put some in my 2010 Prius. Because of the side curtain air bags are they not recommended? Or doesn't it matter? Please advise. Eventually, I would like to replace the OEM floor mats also. But I as I see, that's a whole other thread about Husky vs. Weathertech. Just trying to protect my investment. Thank you in advance for any replies.
They make seat covers that are side curtain airbag comparable. It really depends on how anal you are about your car. I like my cars to be decent on the inside, but I've never used seat covers. If you get some....spend a little bit on a good set....and as you pointed out, it's important to make sure that they're airbag compatible. Good Luck.
Yes, recommended. My Prius has the bisque interior and I was really concerned abt getting stains on the seat. They make covers now that are compatible with side airbags. I got mine at Advance Auto for like $30 and they already proved their worth when I spilt coffee on the seat and it didn't go through. Not sure what the actual washing instructions are but it was easy to throw it in the washer under gentle cycle, and air dry. Plus, I like the look of having black seats instead of "bisque."
AutoCraft Seat Cover AC370046B: Advance Auto Parts I believe thats what I got. They fit relatively decent, they go around the bottom of the seat but u might not b able to strap them in place. Also, ill b honest, I did have to repair a small tear at one of the seams. But overall, worth it to me to have protection, a change in color, and something that didn't cost me a ridiculous amount of $.
