Is there a way to disable the voice command promt that talks every time you push the voice button? I would use voice commands more if this was possible. A simple beep with no explanation would be great, instead of having to wait for the voice , then the beep. Janrn
Janrn, Yes you can do this. It is one of the options on page 2 of one of the setup screens. I am not in the car right now... so I do not know the exact page. I am 100% sure that it can be done on a 2006 package #7 or #8. /Jim
I was getting worried that if I met the polite woman who spoke those words I would be less than polite. Setup page two did the trick.
Just got my Prius 06. European version. I can't seem to find an option; Voice Recognition Guidance on any of the setupscreens. I would be very grateful for furter info. Someone wrote that it can be done in the Phone settings if u have the non Nav version. I got the Nav but cannot find it on any of the setups screens. Maybe the european version differs? /Gunnar
Did you use scroll down by touching the arrow button on the left side of the screen? It should be on the second page. Rick S
