Saw this car in front of me at a stoplight this morning: I couldn't keep up with it to see what make/model it was. It was noisy, so I'm thinking a custom job. It's a soft-top convertible; couldn't tell if it was a Pontiac or…something else. At first glance I thought/hoped it was one of the new Alfa Romeo 4C cars, I know they're selling them not far from where I live. It's tough to tell, but anyone here have an idea what kind of vehicle this is? Just curious.
Looks like a Pontiac. Can't recall the name, Solstice perhaps. There was a Saturn twin, the Skyy, which had sharper angles and creases to the sheetmetal.
LOL @bisco! Ok thanks--yeah, maybe it was a Solstice. Definitely has had some work done--no badges anywhere--not on the rear of the car as seen, not on the sides…driver was in quite the hurry this morning--could hear the loud roar of his engine & I just couldn't keep up.
I tried to clean up the photo a little and add some definition. Doesn't it look like the license plate has been smudged out ?
Yep--I did that. Out of habit…whether it's my car or someone else's--I always smudge out the license plate.
^^ If they are not twins they should be, although the red lights in the back look different. Perhaps a generation apart. My real intent in cleaning up the photo was to see if google could match the car in a photo search Now I'm feeling lazy because you solved the question. Good job!
I used your picture to verify my guess. Good work with the cleanup! I really LIKE roadsters, and my old '94 Miata is/was the very best car that I've ever owned bar none ---so it wasn't hard for me to recognize an old friend.
