Greetings, all! I recently noticed that one of my windows doesn't go all the way down when I use the switch. I try auto down as well as holding the switch down until the window reaches the bottom, but no matter what, the window won't go down as far as the others. I was wondering if there was some sort of calibration that needed to be done. Thank you for your input.
i had that in a corolla. it was covered by the 36000 warranty. no idea what the problem was and how it was fixed.
Yup... My thoughts exactly. It's barely but a quarter inch from opening all the way and it operates flawlessly otherwise. I think I will definitely not worry about it.. I was just hoping I could calibrate it through some button press or something. Sounds like it may be a hardware issue! Thanks, all!!
I have a 2008 Gen 2, not a Gen 3, which has an initialization procedure that can be done when the 12V is disconnected (works the same way on my son's 2007 Scion). Open the window halfway. Fully close the window by holding the switch at least 3 seconds after it closes. That should initialize it. I think this is only for the driver's door on the Prius. Works for both sides and the moonroof on the Scion. If that doesn't work, I guess you'll have to remove the door panel and investigate.
