I saw them both side by side at the dealer when I picked up my wife's v a couple weeks ago. Personally I like the old Haberno more. It just seems to pop more. The new Tangerine even though they say it has sparkle appears dull? Actually that goes for all the c's new colors, they had them all in a line.. The yellow looked like a construction Veh yellow, the blue was dull too…Just my personal observation and opinion. I used to own an orange Charger so its not like I don't like colorful cars, I just think toyota could have done better..
Yep. The tangerine is not nearly as appealing as the Habanero. The new green color is cool though. Kind of looks like a big gecko lizard.
I saw the 2 orange colors near each other. In person I like the older color more as it was more vibrant but the new one would look better without the old near it! I saw a 2015 in red that was nice and a blue C4. I would buy the 4 in red if I was looking at a Prius C. This C4 had the 16" wheels.
I'll be keeping my 2012, I just can't adjust to the new front end! Sometimes when it works, it should be left alone. Take the Mini Cooper, they keep adding more doors and larger lights and gauges, just takes away from the original.
Well its the end of August 2015 and I still have not seen one Tangerine Splash or the new green on the road?
Mine is the Tangerine Splash -- had to wait a week for it to come in. PEI, Canada here. Got it this June. Dealer said it was one of the very few he'd come across. Has a nice shine and sparkle, IMO.
No. It is one of two colors that does have a slight added cost, however. Since buying it, I've started noticing other orange vehicles in general. A few mustangs, a couple of jeeps -- but overall, from here to New Hampshire and from here to Ottawa, bright vehicles in general aren't particularly common. I suspect it has to do with the general conservative nature of purchasers and resale value notions in their heads. The same reason gray and beige are such "popular" house interior colors. For some people.
Wow, didn't realise it was a premium paint. That might explain the depth and sparkle of the colour! It's really nice but I've yet to see one on the road and registered.
Yup. One of two - Moonglow. I note also that Tangerine Splash (and Electric Lime) is not available with the baseline package on Toyota Canada site. That might also explain its rarity, although I cannot imagine someone not putting out the few hundred extra for the basic upgrade package.
Agree. It's basically there as a showroom special. (I've actually seen it in the showroom). The upgrade package is a decent deal but does increase the gap over a Corolla (which sacrifices mpg but gains space and some features over the Prius c actually).
