Lowered 2010 with Tanabe DF120 Springs

Gotta shop around man, I had mine installed for $120 plus alignment by a local tuner shop. I'm in socal though...

 

I paid $200 at Speed Element in San Jose for installation & alignment, give them a holler. Cheers!

 

Yes they fit 2015, just did it on mine & does not lower your MPG. Ride is still comfortable, here is a pic of mine. Once the spring settles, it will go lower. Hope this helps. View attachment 73837 [/QUOTE]

Don't settle! 500 to install is crazy! Save some money on install to get other things done. Lol.

Same, Tanabe DF210's, running the stock wheels and tires, just remove the ugly wheel covers.

 

It will only void the warranty on items that the dealer can PROVE where the springs contributed to the failure.

For example, if your inverter catches fire, they may try to blame lowering on making the inverter fail, but they'd have a tough time proving that and if they can't prove it, then it can't be used to void your warranty.

If a dealer tells you your warranty is void on anything/everything just because your car is modified, you can point them in this direction:

So obviously, things related to your suspension (bushings, control arms, etc) may have their warranty affected by you installing lowering springs, but that's kind of up to the dealer or how far you want to push it.

Thanks, interesting note. I just thought it will void your warranty suspension wise since suspension was modified.

 

Easier to not worry about the warranty being voided by having a dealer install them... Any part of the warranty they attempt to void with the installation would have to be noted in the Notes section of the service invoice.


Counter argument to any dealer trying to void the warranty , you can claim poor quality of work done by a dealer's service department, if they attempt to prove failure of any part, due to the springs...

 

Guys who've been running these springs more than a year without new shocks, do shocks need replacing?

 

I've had mine for a while.. if I remember right, since a few thousand miles. I'm at 26k now. Still rides the same as when I installed them.

These are not an aggressive drop. Just perfect amount.

Opps.. just noticed I mixed up the treads.. I am runing TRDs Plus springs NOT DF210's.

 

I even have the df210's and coming up on a year pretty soon and I'm still fine

 

I want the RSR Super down springs, but was recommended to replace shocks. I don't want to fork out 500 for shocks at the moment, so might go with Tanabe if you guys aren't having issues.

 

do shocks need to be replaced in order to run the RSRs or are your shocks just bad?

 

Shocks are fine. He just recommended to replace if I plan going for RSR's because stock shocks may wear out faster.
