Did you bake the lens off, or did you use the hacksaw in the picture?

    1) XenonDepot Xtreme H11 kit with Phillips 4300k bulb upgrade. Didn't use the relays, just plugged them into the headlight connectors, put the bulbs in the housings, mounted the ballasts and tidied up the wiring.

    2) LED C5W bulb in my trunk light.

    3) LED W5W bulbs in my map light

Waiting for my leather steering wheel to arrive.

which leather steering wheel are you waiting for? JDM version from Micro Image?
Their site seem to be down.

I'm not sure which steering wheel. I got it used off eBay. I'll see if it's got marking on it when I receive it. From the auction listing, it appears to be a 2010 - 2013 Prius hatchback leather steering wheel that happens to have the same shape as the Prius C steering wheel.

Steering wheel installed. Looks like a take-off from a Prius hatchback. Besides being softer than the poly-urathane steering wheel, it's thicker as well.

    Fit perfectly.

    NICE!
Did you swap in your airbag? And, all remote functions work?

    Best mod to date!

Yep, swapped. Swapping the back cover is optional. Since I have a One (no cruise control stalk), I swapped out the back cover so that my side covers would match.

I disconnected the 12v battery. I made sure the steering wheel was straight, then I removed my airbag (3 connectors: Black, Orange, and the single terminal):

Disconnect the connector for the control buttons. After that, only 4 screws come off to remove the control button trim pieces (left and right sides. Gotta really yank at them to get them off:

Removed the 19mm bolt holding the steering wheel in place:

A steering wheel puller comes in handy:

Keep track of the clockspring and put the leather steering wheel on:

The nut goes back on. Tighten to 37 ft lbs. Reconnect anything still not yet connected, including the ones on the airbag.

Shove airbag back into position (snaps in).

Reconnect battery, reset the time (wiped out) and test the horn / all steering wheel buttons. Final product as shown in above post.

Tried to change the oil…. Couldn't get the damn oil filter off… tried everything… So pissed off…. I purchased every device known to man to get the damn filter off with no resolve. … Damn dealer put it on to tight….. Grrrr…

Had no choice but to change the oil and leave the old filter on until next change…. that or put the old oil back in the engine….. I'm so annoyed and frustrated… Nonetheless the car does run smoother now..

I went out to the garage last night, opened the hood, and what did I find? The "pedestrian warning" speaker had removed itself and was resting on top of the inverter. Sure is a strange looking speaker. I snapped several pics, placed the speaker on the workbench, closed the hood, and returned back inside. noise2.jpg noise3.jpg

I got the similar problem when changing oil for the first time. This is the one I gotta stop in the middle of the work and had to drive to the Pep Boys store on that Sunday to buy it:

    Pep Boys

One stupid question: did you turn the right direction to open the oil filter?

You need one of these. I've been using mine for more than 15 years and have yet to see a filter I can't get off.

The factory beep beep horn was replaced with a pair of REAL horns (well, HF horns, but still...).
Debadged the liftback. A bunch of needless alert stickers (in 6 languages) fell off.

The price wasn't super great, but it's somewhat difficult to say. I had 5 trades totalling $24,000, which I feel that I was treated fairly. All in all, I'm very happy with the deal.

Hey 00-00 welcome to the Prius community and congrats on the new C…. The new look looks best on Pkg4, I don't like it on Pkg1 etc… doesn't look sporty… Love the Moon Glow/White.. but I'm biased to the white lol

    Again welcome and congrats!

That's what I had thought… so I turned the other way too…. nope wouldn't come off either direction… lefty loosey righty tighty

I've taken off both. For the one in the back you'll have to buy double sided tape to stick it on again.

How does the PKG4 look sportier than PKG1?
