Replaced the front Windshield Wipers , Bosch Icon , replaced the rear Wiper Trico , Replaced the Cabin Filter Replaced the Air filter
first time for any of these ,,, Interesting, when I took the Glove box off to replace Cabin Filter , I noticed that there was a White Cloth Material
attacked to back of glove box, im guessing to muffle noise , with I first got the Prius I complained a bout a rattle in that area ,,,, all went well
thank you all for your tips

For a quick re-cap on yesterday's meetup modding party in Long Beach at @Burna J 's place ...

    folding-mirrors-inprogress-scaled.jpg

I turned the install over to @sfv41901 's capable hands. Given the complexity of this mod, I felt much more comfortable seeing this accomplished right on the first try by an experienced modder.

Right near the end of the install we discovered that one of my new color matched mirror covers had a broken mounting tab. No worries. @Burna J hands me a soldering iron and a black zip tie which I took and set to work with an impromptu plastic welding job.

    20150404_000222.jpg 20150404_000234.jpg

Here's a quick morning after video.

    And for today's trick ...

    20150404_141614.jpg

... I installed my new REALall-leather pistol grip steering wheel.

    This thread was helpful:
JDM Prius Steering Wheel | PriusChat

And of course that led me to this page which was helpful:
    ステアリング プリウス ステアリングの取り外し 装着手順 フレーダーマウス

However, the first move was the most difficult to figure out. Removing the airbag requires that you use a screwdriver to fiddle with something via the small access holes on either side of the steering column. But peering into this access hole I couldn't see anything that looks like it wants to be screw-drivered in any way.

Here are some pictures that I think will help anyone who might share my dilemma.

    20150404_140405.jpg 20150404_140416.jpg
The wire clip holds the airbag unit in place by fitting into a groove in the shaft at the back of the airbag.
    20150404_133813.jpg
From the side you want to use your screwdriver to press clip inboard toward the steering column center. Success will be indicated when the airbag makes a 'click' and becomes loose. When you've unlatched the clip on both sides it will roll forward.

Another tip: Marking the top position of the center shaft is no joke. When you're loosening the center-nut you will be turning the wheel to the left until it doesn't turn anymore. At that point the top center is at some random orientation.

The pizza was delivered by a guy driving a plugin Prius. @Burna J greeted him like he was another priuschat.com brother coming for some mods. :)

played around with some plasti-dip that was sitting around. Saw someone on BMW forums do their tailights and I said to myself.. hmmm, i wonder...

failed first time, peeled off. tried smoke, looked too light. then did black for both again.

Here they are during the daytime. I'll leave them on for a bit. Not sure how well it'll do in a car wash. Might redo to look like G taillights.

surprisingly, all lights show completely fine at night.

decided to do my headlights too.

and the parking lights show right thru them too, which is great! even gives a lower glow, making it look like I have an LED strip.

Again, this is all plasti-dip and I like that I can remove them within minutes. And for about $12 which includes spray, tape, newspaper. This will hold me over until I get the Valenti SDs I want and baking headlights in the Summer

Washed car today. Roof spoiler needs to be moved slightly lower, so bought more tape. Not looking forward removing tape. Lol
