    Hi to the forum!

(Sorry for the pre-mature posting. Pushed the wrong dang button)

I am gathering parts to start the swap of a 2013 Toyota Factory Non-Nav Radio, Model 57031, Part Number 86140-47050, that I got on eBay into my 2010 Prius II. I have read through all of the threads (all that I could find anyway) discussing these conversions and there are a few questions I did not see answered. Before I start tearing things apart, I was hoping some of you may have the answers.

    Question:

    1. From what I have read, the 2013 Prius came with a USB port. When I look at the back of the radio, there is a grey connector that, from what I can tell, appears as though it will connect with the following cable as listed on eBay. Can anyone confirm this is actually a USB port on the radio?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dogmeat

Looks like I don't have the required posts to post a link yet. The cable can be found on eBay by searching for

    Thanks in advance,

I hope so, because I just ordered one for my 57031 radio in a 2010 Prius.

If you would be so kind as to let me know if it works, I would appreciate it. I am still in the process of gathering pieces to do my install but I was waiting for some decent weather. Looks like we may get another round of snow tomorrow, dang it!

I am happy to report that the cable works perfectly. My ipod is now much nicer to use compared to the iSimple ISTY571. I have not tried a thumb drive but I'm sure it would work as well as the ipod.

Now I just need to find a 2010 or 2011 owner that wants the ISTY571.

    FrankB,

Awesome! Thanks for getting back to me. I am hoping to get my radio installed in late April, assuming I survive Tax Season, so I will be ordering one as well. Now if I can just get a hold of a microphone setup I will be good to go!

    Thanks Again!

A bit late to this topic. The Prius Two (2013) DOES NOT have a USB port on the radio unit. The USB is in the center console, but I'm sure there is a wire that connects the port to the radio unit...which you probably figured out by now and did what needed to be done for your year and make of Prius. Hi! Looking to do the same and want to clarify what you've done. You put a 2013 headunit (86140-47050) and put it into a base level 2010 Prius (the one without the screen). Is that what you did? If so, I'd love to do the same and would love to hear about your experience! They aren't too expensive on ebay and would be a great upgrade to my car. THanks so much for your help!
