2006 JBL amp died

    I driving one day with the radio on when suddenly it just went quiet. I tried turning the that radio off and on and that didn't work. Then I realized that I had absolutely no audio for anything. No CD, no hands free, no Navigation. I figured I blew a fuse so I looked up the one for the amp and that looked good.

    I have dealer-phobia so I figured I would take a $140 gamble and buy used amp from eBay. In my eagerness to test it I just put the new one on top of the old one under the front passenger seat and now I have all my audio back. When I have time on the weekend I have to figure out if it is quicker to unscrew the old amp from the bracket or unscrew the bracket from the floor to get the old one out.

    I think I have the same problem.
    looking for an amp, I found used one for £90.

    Just one question, just to check the behaviour I have on mine, its the same as you.
    My buttons work, can change radio station, even CD plays, but no sound.
    The only buttons dont work are the volume control. front button and steering buttons either.

    no sound from radio, no sound from CD, nav or Bt.
    same as your ?

    Sorry for the slow reply. You issue sounds exactly like mine. For me it stopped working while I was using it one day. Once second the radio was on, the next second silence.
