Great question. Any guesses on what the early consumer research tells us?

Partially right. Looks like you all have more digging to do.

Hi Erica. I'm not sure to understand what you mean. He gave us some lines of work on the next car but nothing compromising the project. He told us several times that he could not answer questions as precise. I do not think it sets a hard time for him.

That a higher percentage of customers will buy 4g Prius if it looks, feels, drives and is priced more like a 'normal' (conventional?) car while still being a Prius at heart?

Now this is getting funny. if I prepare myself to get blown away and get blown away anyway, will I be blown away that I'm blown away? I'm assuming that the early consumer research was done with non Prius owners. Now it is time to do research with hardened cynical Prius owners, like us!

Well, most of "us" here on the #1 Prius forum in the world will be the "consumers" of the Gen 4…..

So to answer your question…. We have No Clue...;)

-We still have no release date and no solid details at all on the Gen 4 am I correct?

I wasn't invited to be part of that 25% sample. Otherwise, I would've been blown away already.

Sorry parkerbol if my joking made you nervous. I didn't mean Vincent is really in trouble. I just meant that he did a good job of sharing some interesting bits of info while walking the fine line we all have to walk with confidential info. That is a good thing, and I was jealous that he found a way to feed you some details that the community enjoyed without compromising the integrity of the info we know on the inside. We always struggle when "the big boss" says no info until X date. Anyhow, I meant it warmly!

    Erica

I honestly wonder how many folks have given up on waiting for the Gen 4 and jumped ship or went with a different type of car or just settled on a Gen 3?

I guess technically I am one, as with not even a release date set (2015/2016/2017??) it was pointless waiting so I opted for my 2015 Persona. At least I have a Prius right? :D

I just bought my 2015 last fall so although I am very keen on seeing whats new and improved with the Gen 4 I won't be in the market again for some time..

well, I guess that depends on just how Blown away I am on the undisclosed date by the "unknown".

Well, WE 'settled' for a 2014 model rather than "...waiting for the paint to dry...on a rumor."

    OK, here we go!

AutoblogGreen just reported that a Prius Gen4 mule has been spotted and photographed. According to the article, the guys in the car were none too pleased and even tried to elude the photographers via relatively dangerous maneuvers. Toyota did a good job covering up the finer details but you can clearly see a significant redesign of the overall exterior and wheelbase.

Trust me: the fact that I know nothing has been painfully pointed out to me on many occasions.
