This kind of defeats the lease advantage of getting a new car every two years, especially if you continue to extend your lease with no ability to buy it out at any point.
With Honda, the Fit EV was lease only and only available for a short time with no replacement plugin in the works. Well, there is the Accord plug in with PPI Ev range and sold in less states than the Fit EV was offered in. This is good news in that instead of extending current leases and leasing returned ones, Honda could have just taken them back and crushed them.
