Dear All,, Am in Dire Need of HELP,, My car is 2012 Plug in ,, got from Japan , presently am in Pakistan, here the dealer ship do not have adequate back up.. how ever ...3 moths back ,,the car suddenly stopped ,,, and the message was ,, CHECK HUBRID SYSYEM and park the car at same place which came on the dash board display,,how ever on the diagnostic computer the errors came which i am attaching the file below, a local car mechanic suggested me to replace the charger assembly G9090-47040, which i did,, but unfortunately the car did not moved to READY ... i have an idea that my traction battery is not charged .... but the issue is that once i plug in the charger ,,, the amber light beside the charge in let in the car blinks 10 times,, and goes off ... really un certain ,, what to do ,, kindly suggest and help,, Regards/
if your hv battery has run completely flat, you will need a grid charger to restore it, before the car charger will work. how is the health of your 12 volt battery? you may need better diagnostics, what is the mechanic using to read the codes?
its fine ,,over 12 volts ,,,intact once my car stopped at road ,,, i was driving ,,, and after that every thing messed up Launch Latest codes , are same even after replacing the charger assemble ,,,, which are attached. the machine which is used is LAUNCH.. suggest ,,, some other machine for diagnostic ,, which u think ,, might work, please note,,,, that once i plug inn the charger in the chaging slot in the car the amber light ,,,, which is supposed to be continuously on ,,, blinks 10 times and goes off..... i hope /suspect ,,, is there not some thing wrong with the charging timer setting in the dash board ,,,,,?please suggest In actual,, the battery is not getting charged through the charger ,,, as the Amber light goes off after flashing 10 times ,, more over the charging do not show up in the dash display even. so ,, can there be an issue with the timer setting button ...
those codes aren't familiar, i don't know if it's because it's japanese, or the wrong code reader. perhaps someone else will know.you can access the service manual on line by the day. it should tell you what the flashing light means, if it's not in the owners manual. btw, the 12 volt should read at least 12.5, after it has been off for 8 hours and with nothing on in the car. we open the hood in the evening, and put a voltmeter on the jump point in the morning for an accurate reading.I don't know what is involved in replacing the charge, can you recheck the connections?
ya,,, i did it my self. the connections seems fine . how ever will do the re check with 12 volt battery. but all said and done ,,, is there any relation of timer viz regards charging ,, the independent operation should in any way must work out in my view .. whats you take on this?can u please post me the link of service manual?can u please send me the link of the service manual .
i have never used the timer, so i'm not sure. it seems to me, if it were programmed for a start or end time, the car would not start charging until the proper time. but, i thought you had to hit the timer button to activate it, before leaving the car, otherwise, you could charge immediately.i can't, try toyotaowners.com to start with. it's sunday here, and not many users on line. eventually, someone will be of more help to you.
