But that side and front view make up for it. Luv that aerodynamicity.

Having to wait for nickel to be reclaimed from a dead pack for the battery of a new car isn't the best way to grow sales.;)
There is simply more lithium available, and recycling it should improve with demand.
It was a crime that NiMH BEVs were prevented from having a go in the recent market place. I think the EV1 and old Rav4 EV had ranges comparable to the Leaf.
The AL-air that might show up as a range extender is an old technology. The problems with Li-ion are also known.
We can't rule out new problems cropping up with improvements to an old technology. Great if BASF comes through with this, but their statement is based on results in the lab.

Anyone friends with him on Facebook? Someone send him a message asking for information. Make sure you're subtle about it or he might get suspicious.

Hopefully he puts more emphasis on interior design and more (driver's) seat comfort: I was at Bob's Foam Factory again this morning and the foam tech said there have been half a dozen other Prius owners in there trying to fix up their driver's seat also.

At Hybrid Life, we had a good contact with a manager in Europe. He promised us news about Prius 4 very soon. He is in contact with the japan team who is working on P4.

He was involved from the beginning of Prius (Project G21).

You can read in this book.

Ok, I've scanned through several pages... I'm sorry if this has already been asked/answered... Has there been any hint to timing yet? I almost bought a 2013 last week, but the deal fell through. I was bummed, but relieved, as I really am curious about the 2016..

@usbseawolf2000 beat me to it. Satoshi was involved with the original G21 project from the beginning. He was an engineer-in-charge from the Vehicle Engineering Division I.

If he's the Chief Engineer, I'm excited to see what the Gen 4 brings!

I highly recommend every Prius enthusiast to read this. It's quite interesting and it's a nice behind-the-scenes document that you don't normally see even when a publisher decides to publish a large, colour book dictating "The History of <insert some interesting car's name>"

One big, fat question for you, Toyota, based on p.24 "The seat will be set at a relatively high position to facilitate getting in and out of the car."

Why, in a SEDAN were (are) you (Toyota) bent on doing a high seat? It is NOT a Crossover / SUV vehicle. Prius is a sedan, Sedans do not take very well to high front seat positions,

It rides higher like minivans, not quite but higher than sedans.

I've gotten good complement from elders, especially in the back how easy to get in and out as well as the leg room.

For tall guy over 6' like you, it sux?

These two physical therapists explain the problem I am experiencing in my Prius. I've tried a couple 'foam factory made' wedge cushions made to my templates to compensate for the problem. Another more dense wedge made of the material he shows should be done this week.

That's because I haven't 'beat the problem yet' to my satisfaction. So, either I beat the problem, or when I'm tired of it enough and the time is right, then I do 'you know what'.
