    simple question.
I'm lookin for some new alloys to fit my 2014 plug in.
The ones I have found are 18" and are suitable for the earlier mk2 prius but the catalogue does not mention the newer plug in.
Will they fit mine if they fit the mk2. 2003 - 2009?
I hate the 15" on there at the moment.
The book also says that the correct tire size will be 215/35/18
    Is that also correct?
    Many thanks.

    simple question.
As all prius wheels will fit each other through the years.
Will Lexus 18" wheels fit a prius?
I've seen a nice pair of Lexus gs300. sport wheels and they would look nice on the Prius.

Im not sure what car you have. You posted in the Prius C forum but in your details, it says Prius Plug-in. The C uses 4x100 and the Plug-in uses 5x100 I believe. Many lexus wheels are 5x114.3

Those wheels are aftermarket and not Lexus factory wheels. Can't imagine they would fit. It's all about the bolt pattern, offset, and width of the the wheels. Best to search for aftermarket wheels that will fit the 3rd Gen Prius.

As an aside, Prius v wheels do not fit any other Prius ( they are 5 by 114.3, not 5 by 100)

    Now I'm really confused.
My Prius is a 2014 plug in.
Will the normal 17" prius wheels fit?
    Hears a photo of mine.

Yes I have actually tried a second generation prius wheel and it fitted my 2014 plug in Prius perfectly.
Atleast we now know that all prius wheels fit each other

Now that I have sorted out what wheels fit what I am in the process of buying some really tasty split rim wheels for my plug in.
Ok so now it's been measured up I want to get rid of the rear overhang wheel arch and fill it with tire so it looks right.
The wheel sizes are. Front 8x18". Rear 9.5x18"
Now for the front I have 2 size options 215-40-18 or 215-35-18 which is a lower profile. Which one would you fit?
As for the back with a 9.5 wider wheel what size tire would you fit on that rim.
Don't want it to look like a prius from Mad Max lol.

This is not what I want the wheels sticking out like angle grinders and a stretched tire.

Where as it should sit like this.

Any advice on this would be great.

    Except Gen 1 and Prius c wheels (4 x100) and Prius v wheels, (5x114.3) which don't.

fitting after market alloys to a Prius is getting a difficult task.

The factory wheel nuts are like these
    . image.jpg

And the after market wheels require a tapered nut like these.
    image.jpg

Does anybody know the size and thread?

I have read that they should be M12 x 1.5.

Here's a pic of my Plugin with Lexus CT 17 in rims (tire size - 205/50R17). I re-used the original lug nuts on the Lexus CT rims.

Are these your current 15" rims?:

I would kill for those, lol.

Seriously, check with a Toyota parts department, see what they're asking for those. In the high $300's I think, each.

I'm tempted, what kind of number? Speaking of killing, the shipping would probably be murder tho.

Yeah lemme know if you're serious, and describe curb rash if any.

Again tho, I think shipping would nix it.

I should ask my local parts dept too, now I'm curious what they retail.

They are brand new taken off a new car. no rash. I actually have them for sale at the private sales for $400.

I have a trucker that's delivering some stuff to me from Canada, I wonder if I can let them take it up there to ship when he gets back to Canada? I don't know how the customs work

Let me know what he says. If shipping isn't too much, yeah I'm interested.
