Many may know this already, but in case you don't, if you are not using the tonneau cover, you can stow it away underneath: I use mine regularly for added security so it's not often stowed away though.
He didn't know the car at all. In fact he even gave wrong information like saying the car uses a gasoline tank bladder. The gen III does not.
I am thinking Gen2 has a slots to put the cover under there too, but we use it all the time in the normal position.
When I drive down to my brother's place in Va, I put the cover in its spot in the back 'cause I fill the back of the car up with stuff for him. It goes into the storage area for the charging cable.
Bumping this thread as I didn't know about this. I always thought that storage area underneath the trunk floor was handy. Now I can store my tonneau cover there too along with my other junk.
Hey OP, Can you please re post the pic. The pic link is broken, and I am curios. My sales person forgot to mention that to and I have no idea where the storage is.
I couldn't find an image, but simply open the hatchback, then lift up the floor of the cargo area and the removable piece on the left side. Underneath you'll see slots on both sides where the tonneau cover bar can sit. Edit: I see the original link was fixed.
I did not know that. DH and I kept our salesman way past closing so we took delivery at like 10pm. I was exhausted after a long day at work plus negotiating my first new vehicle purchase and we knew he wanted to go too so it was a mutual "just give me the car and let me get out of here." He did do like a quick 5 min demo of really basic stuff, prob a mandatory thing. I'm relatively tech savvy so I knew I'd b able to figure most features out on my own (I like it better that way) plus I'd have the manual and this awesome Forum
Good to see I'm not the only one.. good to see bumping this was helpful.. Thanks for fixing image OP.
I always knew it was there, but I just leave it installed. It's never in my way and not hard to put away should I need to.
