So installed new tires, went with the Kuhmo 195-55-16 same tires i had, B&G Springs, 15mm/20mm Spacers and rides great! Came back from a trip and had the car loaded with baggage and kids and it rubbed on the front fender liner, easy fix, and the rear bolt that holds the bumper in place.

Special thanks for Jeremy 'Justdidit' for all his help and having the spacers in hand for me to try.

not sure what these rims are but they look like 15" on Paul Sextons Autocross Prius
I guess she would be wearing slicks,

From the front in pic 2 the rears look like slicks anyways
maybe the fronts in pic 3 are narrower profiles with less diameter tyres on gen 3 rims

heres a little something we havent talked much of here
the use of aero kit to make a car look apparently lower that it would ordinarily be

this image appears in support of a manufacturers aero kit, it includes front/rear extensions and side skirts
I think the car is sitting on 18" equipment, and only slightly lowered, but really looks slammed
    [IMG]

this image from about the same angle gives a good idea of the amount of drop, Im estimating around an inch
    [IMG]

and from another manufacturer, the extremes...

and it wouldnt be me unless I monstered it in photoshop...
    .......just a little paint..

Does anyone have pictures of their car using the Megan Racing coilover setup? I'm on the fence about making the purchase, and can't find any true pics. I'd rather not spend $900 bucks to get the same drop $300 springs would give me. TIA

First 2 pics show the Gen3 oem Prius 15". Pretty sure Pauls 3rd picture is where he was using Corolla oem wheels. 15x7 and I think i read he ran a Kumho v710 205/50R15.

Anyone know if I need to adjust the preload on Megan coil overs?

Just got new wheels but still need tires and to roll fenders. My question is will used TPMS sensors from another toyota work in my new wheels or do they have to be brand new?

you will need to have the sensors programmed to your car with a special tool. they're not plug n play. and used ones may have low battery life. I'd reuse the ones in my oem wheels if they'll fit the aftermarket wheels. just get a seal kit.

I have the same issue, I have different wheels and tires on my car now, I have the stock tires stacked up in my garage. I'm researching a way to turn-off the tpms system. On the GEN-II Prius it's really useless anyway... long story, but I drove with a flat tire almost 1/4 mile before the sensor turned on. I was already pulled over on the shoulder and looking at the flat tire. When I got back in my car to call work and let them know I'd be late, that's when the light came on! Right now I cut a small piece of electrical tape into a circle, and placed it over the light on the dash. It's annoying to have the tpms light blinking... if you find a way to disable the system please post here. If I find anything out I'll let you know and post here as well.

Hi Gen II Family. I know some of you Gen II owners are looking for aftermarket wheels that are fitment and MPG friendly. I'm selling my very hard to find 2002-2004 JDM BBS Forged Subaru Mesh Wheel Dealer Upgrade wheels that I had on my Gen III. Just want these to go to a good home (mainly Prius owner), before I list them locally on craigslist.

They are Genuine Japanese and Forged! 15lbs! Could make for a great Daily Driving wheel, Track wheel or for your winter set-up.

Moderator, please let me know if this is Spam and I apologize. Just wanted to spread the love.

For Sale - JDM 15lbs Forged BBS Mesh Upgrade wheels 17x7 MPG Friendly | PriusChat

    Thanks!
    Ram

Ram, I saw your ad for the 17" BBS. These are REALLY nice!! Especially for only 15lbs ea.[IMG]
Had I not already bought winter wheels, I'd snatch these up. I AM however still looking for my non-winter wheels..set of 19" lightweight wheels.

@Justdidit awesome, congrats! Lightweight 19" wheels will be a bit of a tough find, however, you can't go wrong with the JDM brands. Weds TC105N may have a 19" lightweight option and I am even thinking maybe Enkei might have a 19" RPF1? I'll have to check.

Edit: ok Enkei's RPF1 has a 19x8 et35 option at 20lbs on the nose. Darn, Weds' TC105N Max size is at 18"

Anyone have any info on this Prius? I was rummaging around on Facebook and came across this pic I love the ride height and wheels aren't bad either.
