GPS, MUSIC, and WIPER problem

My Prius v will be 3 years old in 2 weeks. I brought it to the dealer for the regular maintenance. And I told the service rep 3 problems that I am having.

1) I cannot switch back and forth between the audio and map sometimes. It is totally a matter of luck to change the screen back to audio from GPS.

2) GPS map indicates a current place about 15 miles away.

3) When I use the windshield washer, the wipers do not come on automatically SOMETIMES.

Luckily, they could duplicate the 1) problem (it has gotten worse there - now I cannot use the bluetooth), they ordered the new radio system. The touch screen has been replaced once when the night time map became too dark to see anything but the arrow. They hope the new radio system will fix this problem as well, and the 2) problem.

Now when I told the service rep about the 3) problem, he said that the wipers should not come on automatically when using the Windshield washer. I told him that all the cars that we had had were equipped with the windshield wipers automatically engaged when using the windshield washer. His answer was "maybe not your model is not equipped with that." Do you know any cars these days without the automatic windshield wiper action upon the use of the windshield washer?? I told him that the windshield wipers had been engaged when I used the washer from the start, but it does not work all the time these days."
He said that he would check it,

He said that the wipers were working. They might have been as it does not happen all the time. On the way back, it was raining. So I used the Windshield washer. Squirt, squirt, nothing happened. I videotaped it for 8 secs. But the file is too large to post it here.

I just want to make sure that your windshield wipers will come on upon the used of washer, won't they??

 

Thank you for confirming!! So strange the Toyota Service Rep said that they should not!!
