I have a Prius v, lowercase v for the Prius v wagon, package 5... is there an advance technology package and then just a regular technology package or are those the same things? How do I know if I have the technology or the advanced technology package???
If you're in Canada, it's called the Technology Package (or Touring + Technology Package). If you're in the U.S., it's called the Advanced Technology Package. If you have the panoramic roof, dynamic radar cruise control, Pre-Collision System, you have the AT package on the Prius v.
I think the ATP varies depending upon year. Tideland's post describes the extras of my 2015 Prius v Wagon. I think previous years had different ATP options. /Jim
The 2015 is missing the Advanced Parking Guidance System (APGS) that was in the 2012. I think there were other changes in different years, but I am not certain. /Jim
12, 13 and 14 are identical as far as the ATP is concerned. 2015 lost the 7" HD display head unit and now uses the same head unit as "lesser" models. 2015 added LKA and lost the parking system. Other differences in years exist, but are not part of the ATP.
What DVD Nav system on a Prius v? I have a first year 2012 v three and the NAV system is not DVD based. Was the 2012 ATP DVD based?
AT versions have the 7" Denso unit that's DVD-based. The 6.1" Display Audio system by HK is flash-based and has a different interface (And different looking maps).
It was LDA (Lane Departure Alert) instead of LKA (Lane Keeping Assist) that was added for 2015 ATP - LDA only warns and LKA both warns and corrects with steering inputs. The 2015 ATP also lost the headlight washers and gained auto high beam. The 2012 ATP nav system is HDD.

Mine is a 2012 and I thought it had every options but it certainly doesn't have the pano roof... so I guess that is enough to answer that I do not have the tech package right??? Shoot!!! In USA for Prius v 2012 - 2015 you can tell if you have the Advanced Tech Package by looking for the dynamic cruse control distance set button on the steering wheel. It will be a silver button on the right side of steering wheel that shows a vehicle with radar (3 circle arcs). or In USA Prius v 2012 - 2014, look for Premium HDD Navigation system with 5 button on each side of 7 inch screen. In 2015 Toyota went with 4 buttons on each side of high res 6 inch screen. jrod81, I think you have a Prius v trim level 5 without Adv. Tech. Pkg.
Pretty sure it had the HDD Headunit. If you’re in Canada, LKA isn’t available on the Gen 3 either. Not sure why you think it’s a rip off.
