So, who did you get one from on eBay that has the Prius outline lit up on it, as opposed to OGS, or TOM'S lit up across it?

Most likely he ordered either OGS or TOM's off ebay since those are the only ones I had found. The one on ebay for TOM's is selling for $298 + shipping, ouch

The one from OP with Prius outline is "APR Electronic Shifting Switch." The LED is either green or blue, and not customizable.

It is the OGS shifter, I plan to paint over the OGS logo.

I ran onto this page/review earlier online for the HS 250h:

2010 Lexus HS 250h Hybrid Review

I really thought the shifter thing on it looked interesting...

kinda like a mousepad/joystick thing... It would be cool to have in our car, as well... Hmmmmmm!!!!

It's not a shifter, but Remote Touch for navigating the NAV screen that Lexus have instead of touchscreen. Lexus features usually migrate down to Toyota over time, so we'll probably get that in the Gen IV Prius. But Lexus will have something different by then like 100% voice command a la Siri in the iPhone 4S and automatic transfer of map address/GPS from our phones.

The shifter on the Lexus HS 250h is pretty much identical to the one used on the Gen 2 Prius. Same location. It is hidden by the steering wheel in picture shown.

Nice idea. But why is it so hard for aftermarket manufacturers to pick a font/design that actually matches the look and feel of the existing dash components?

I'd like to see the shifter removed and a cup holder installed. Put the shifter buttons on the left side of the console.

As soon as someone figures out how to change the buttons around for LHD I'm in on this shifter!

Looks great. Just wondering though, if Toyota had used these as standard equipment, someone would have come up with a "stick" to replace it with.

When growing up my family had a '62 Rambler Classic with automatic transmission like that, plus each button lit up in a different color and you used one of the buttons (park or neutral, I forget) as the start button for the car. (It took four decades for the start button to come back into fashion). It was a great setup-despite having very skiny tires the car never got stuck despite my best teenage efforts-you could rock it out alternating between drive and reverse.

I wonder if Toyota will go down the rotary dial route that Jaguar and Land Rover are using.

FWIW, the Stage10 version now comes in multiple color LEDs and a left-hand drive version.
