Here are some pics on my new antenna.. The reception is noticably different with the Shark fin instead of the original one.. It looks cool... B)
I assume "noticably different" means that it changed for the worse? If so, I don't think that the cosmetic differences would be worth it for someone who listens to the radio a lot. I wonder if those shorter stemmed antennas would be a better solution to getting rid of that nasty antenna without too much of a performance loss.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(samoan_ridah @ Apr 10 2006, 02:42 PM) </div> I installed my shark fin antenna over the weekend and I noticed an improvment in my signal strength.
Was the installation very easy? The standard antenna base just unscrews and you screw on the shark fin? Also, did you buy it from http://sigmaautomotive.com/FoliaTec/antenna.php ? If so, which one was it? The picture looks most like the MB2. The connecting pieces coming down from each looks different, so I'm figuring some would install easier than others... Thanks! Rich Apple

I should have looked closer and noticed that the Shark Fin you installed wasn't the Sigma one, but one of the ones the Priuschat shop sells (Virtual Garage Shark Antenna, from Canada). The installation does appear to be fairly simple with that one (though possibly easy with the Sigma too). Hopefully I didn't confuse anyone... Rich
