Mine is the same way, wheel is just slightly turned to the right yet the wheels go straight. As if the actual steering wheel is just slightly off center. Took to my toyota dealer last week and they did an alignment check. Told me it was just barely out of alignment and made a slight adjustment to the car. After I got it back it is still just slightly off, but I guess that is just the way it is supposed to be. Go figure.

I took it in yesterday and it turns out it was slightly off. Now it's spot on. Feels good. Steering wheels straight. Car does not pull at all. I drove maybe 50 miles and it seems to be a little better mpg. But it's probably just me / placebo.

Not necessarily. I had toe-in reduced on Gen3, and MPG went up.

Yes, if your car had bad alignment, then the wheels would require more power to go straight which would cause less mpg and bad tire wear.

Tire wear is normal after 40K miles, so I think its just the steering wheel being off center, not the alignment.

That was my impression too. Steering rack is not centered when they put it in, or it is intentionally offset for LHT (left hand travel) countries (but then they must be mounting the same rack turned 180deg, so it is still a problem)

I'll add my '13 Prius C Two to the list for what seemed to be a "pulls to the right" problem. I believe it was after either the 15,000-mile or 20,000-mile checkup at the dealership that this seemed to go away. I don't really notice it now, and I'm at 27,000 miles, original tires & everything (except for the driver's side windscreen wiper).

I think my car is bad luck. I've got a cracked windshield already. And a scratch from road debris. I get that I bought it as a commuter but I was hoping to make it through 30 days without issues. Bummer

    Two different incidents.

My insurance will take care of the windshield. I will take it to Toyota for that in hopes to get an oem replacement.

The scratch I will take care of at some point. No rush.

I going to take a road trip in a couple weeks. Will fix the windshield after I return.

Got to order a roof rack in the mean time. Rhino rack is pricey but seems to be the best option.

Ordered the rhino rack vortex. I think it doesn't have the over hang on the bars. Cleaner lines I hope. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Pics etc. going on a road trip next week.

Slight pull to the side could be caused by front tire, so if it gone it must be due rotation

my simple answer is torque steer from the electric clutches being out of sync ,,, try adjusting your tire pressures to be UNEQUAL to compensate ,,, just try it before you scoff, ok.

when aligning the wheels, after the wheels are properly aimed with camber, caster, and especially toe its important to 'center' the steering wheel by screwing each tie rod the same amount but in appropriate opposite direction so the steering wheel is then centered. few alignment shops spend the time because few drivers notice.
    Here's an example:
let's suppose the toe is correctly equal left and right but the steering wheel is turned about 5 degrees to the right so that when driving down a flat straight road the steering wheel is turned 5 degrees to the right of center. To center the steering wheel loosen both tie rod nuts and screw the tie rod in 2 flats on the right side and screw out the left hand tie rod two flats. Those are flats on the hex on the tie rod not the tie rod nuts. that will shorten the right hand tie rod and lengthen the left hand both an equal amount. because tie rod on the right is shorter the steering wheel will have to turn slightly left opposing the right hand twist; because the tie rods remain the same length they maintain the toe. be sure to tighten the tie rod nuts before driving. if 2 flats aren't enough add 2 more flats. be sure you know what the steering wheel position is when its striaght up. if you want to nacarize put a round of orange tape around the s. wheel in the upper middle so you know when the whaeels are straight ahead and not over center. very useful in snow to know when the wheels are straight ahead.
we rescued a driver stuck i his driveway because he had turned his s, wheel past a full turn so he thought his wheels were straight when in fact nearly full lock turned. Once he made a complete rotation of his s. wheel he only knew it was straight cause the spokes were horizontal and upside. we all died laughing in the snow.

well I got the Rhino rack vortex. Fit is pretty good. I went with the vortex as I think its just cleaner looking. seems pretty sturdy. I'll be taking a road trip with he family this weekend will put a soft bag on top. Let you guys know how it goes. I think I'm going to fetch a set of the black Prius alloys. Only if they will take the same tire as mine. if not I'll wait till my tires are worn be for i do anything.

Doesn't look like he lives in a snowy area but if you do I agree on the snow tires.

You know my OEM windshield cracked starting at the bottom in the middle, wasn't even hit by anything that I could tell.
