I live in Tol. Oh. Present temp. around zero. How does a plug in make heat??

Battery will provide electric heat but that can really cut down on range; however, you can start the ICE anytime you wish to let it provide BTU's. Choice is up to you. In my location, I can pre-heat the cabin to 85f on wall power, wear a light jacket and use seat heaters to make it through our "cold spells" (39f and rain this morning) on my 30 minute drive without using cabin heat.

    Accleleration tests from 30 - 40 km/h (18,6 -25 mph):
A little bit above 1/2 ECO line (somewhere between 51-65% ECO line) is worse than 75% ECO line. 75 - 100% ECO line is better than 75% ECO line. A little bit above ECO line seems to be quite unefficient in speed areas between 30-50 km/h. Did not expect that initially. Maybe that area is generally not so efficient !?
Low PWR range was very difficult to test because acceleration time is very short and my data are not accurate enough here to post.
So i would say no changes on my table.

    Km/h mph power
    1 0 - 20 0 - 12.5 EV
    2 20 - 30 12.5 - 19 (pass through) 1/2 to full ECO
    3 30 - 50 19 - 31 low PWR

I have been testing this and getting some pretty good results. I have a 2 mile commute to work so the best I can usually get is 40 mpg.
I will have to test this one too.

Would be cool if you could implement a automatic throttle control that would follow this method.

What should we use after 31 mph?

Thanks for testing and congratulation to your good results. Looking forward to hear from your new results.

Which speed to use after 31 mph? -> Something to find out, means new tests for me :)

I always wonder if there were blind spots in the MPG monitoring. People reporting better MPGs by flooring it versus driving it in the ECO range. Same thing with this method, if forcing EV if it causes the same MPG monitoring issue.

Now i realized that during acceleration through different speed areas and methodes, the efficiency in a speed area also depends from acceleration level reaching that area (because we are accelerating).
So i found small changes in my table:

    Km/h mph power
    1 0 - 25 0 - 15 EV (just below 1/2 ECO line)
    2 25 - 35 15 - 22 (accelerate through) 1/2 to 3/4 ECO line (25-30 km/h) and 3/4 to full ECO line (30-35km/h)
    3 35 - 50 22 - 31 low PWR
