I don't have those particular LEDS, but someone else here does. There was no complaints about the brightness.

I believe the bulbs you got were rated at 5w, if I recall correctly. The ones I linked to were 18w per light.

xliderider, you are so correct. You said the H11 bulbs have approximately 1350 lumens each with an LED "bulb" with 700 lumen output. I used the LED bulb fog lights last evening, in the dark. I could hardly tell they were on. Today I switched the fog lights back to the halogen bulbs. In the process, I measured the light output about 2 feet in front of the bumper. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone, with a "Galaxy S4 Sensors" app that measures light intensity. Both the halogen and LED bulbs pegged the light meter, so I covered the phone's light sensor with two layers of paper towel. The halogen bulb measured 500 units and the LED bulb measured 140 units (don't know what the units are, so this is just a relative test, not an absolute test). The LED bulbs are going back to Amazon. Thanks for your input on this situation.

I imagine these won't fit the 2012? I see a slight different on grille angles.

The foglights will fit, but you have to get the lower grill with the foglight openings to mount them in. It's about $100 from the dealer.

Which of the two brown wires connect with the red? Light brown or dark brown?

I believe it's dark brown, but if you have a multimeter with a probe with a sharp tip, you can pierce the insulation to test.

The proper wire will have +12v only when parking/lowbeam lights are on. Other probe should be ground.

    Got it xlider. Many thanks!

In the instructions I was told to remove the single bolt/screw that attaches the OEM foglamp spacer/shroud then reinstall the bolt/screw to the new the shroud and bumper.

Are the fogs/shrouds actually bolted to the bump at all? When I removed the original spacer/shroud I simply "popped" it out. Other than the several bumper "knotches" that kept the original shroud intact I'm worried the fog/new shroud set may fall out. Did I miss a step?

It took me a good 90 mins - 2 hours to get that relay per instructions. on my 2011. I finally disconnected the ECU port giving me just a hair more room and got the relay mounted per the instructions. Crazy cramped in there.

Hello guys. I had to dig in to an old topic not even completely relevant to my question but...

I have installed Osram LedFog lights to my 2011 Prius and the fog part was easy. Lamps installed easy and even the wiring was very simple (they use original connectors). Anyway, the DRL part is more complicated. They require continuous voltage (which, I presume, should be easy to take from the fuse box according to the wiring instructions in the first post) and voltage when the car is "running". Can I use the mentioned brown wire in the ECU to do this job or is there any place in the fusebox where I can get 12V ONLY when the car is running?

Use this fuse to power ur DRLs. It's constant +12v when in ready mode

Using this will make it easier

FinToy, depending on how many amps your foglights pull, you might want to consider using a relay. Draw power from the constant 12v terminals at the back of the fuse box like in the foglight installation instructions, but use the fuse tap and fuse sfv41901 indicated above to trigger the relay coil.

    BTW,
Where can I get ones? I have never seen those before but they seem handy. Thanks again!

There are shots somewhere on the site. I'll look for them.

I use them mostly for aesthetics. They can turn on with the parking lights which do help

Not very, they don't have any cutoff, so they glare into oncoming driver's eyes and anyone driving in front of you.
