Bought 2005 in Oct. 2005...went thru the break-in period and cold weather at about 50 MPG or so...got by 1st service April 1st (oil - 3.5 quarts, tires rotated, filter)...weather now in 60s and 70s, 1st service over...I tried to pulse and glide and watch my speed as much as possible...got 61.7 MPG on my last fill-up...best yet!!! I love this car.
Wow. Over 61mpg. That beats the EPA. I'm impressed. I have not had a tank over 50mgp yet. Actually I had one indicated on the MDF , but the calculated was only 43. I would love to get a 50/50 sometime soon. Maybe now that the weather is warming up, though , honestly, I have babied it for the first 1200 miles, and I am sick of doing that. I think I am going to start going 70-75 on the interstates again, rather than 55-65, so I may never see 50mpg. Oh well ........ Cary in S.Dakota

I just filled up for the first time, 465 miles, and an absolute struggle to force in 8.8 gallons. That's over 52 mpg. I've just discovered today how to do the pulse and glide. A very nice and interesting technology.

Welcome to the 60 MPG achievers!!! With your great start, you should have many more. I have similar results from my fill-up today: 533 miles using 8.477 gallons and thus 62.88 MPG Now at 13K and lifetime MPG is 61.14 :blink: :blink:
