Clicking/ Ticking Sound When Accelerating

    On the drive home tonight, I noticed a clicking/ ticking sound coming from the car when accelerating from a complete stop. I would accelerate slowly enough to keep the vehicle in EV mode for the duration of the acceleration. Not sure if this is normal. Has anyone else experienced this? I did a search for a similar post, but could not find anything related....

    I posted a reply in the other thread. Check your tires for foreign objects in the tread or tire. They can make the ticking sound you are hearing, especially if the sound gets proportionally faster with vehicle speed.

    xliderider, thanks for the reply. definitely not something in the tire. the click/ tick sound occurs twice after accelerating from a stop, then disappears. Not sure if its the sound of the brake calipers releasing after applying the brakes to stop?
