IMHO, apple is as evil as MS, and google is probably evil too, but behind our backs.

Open standards does not mean free of charge, it means open access. I thought MP3 was owned by the Fraunhofer institute, but that is besides the point. A better example is pdf, owned by Adobe. Licensing fees are paid, but your data is not held hostage by Adobe. That (to me, anyway) is the important consideration.

Apple has a proprietary iWork format, but it supports export to the most excellent ePub format, itself overseen and regulated by a standards body that uses an amalgam of web standards.

    Excellent.

For what ever the reason for these crashes it probably was sabotage. If a pilot pushes a button that would prevent him from piloting the plane, he and the terrorist have no control over the plane. (Or if the controller on the ground pushes the button) If it was sabotaged in some way nobody has control including the device. I know of one device that uses atmospheric pressure. When it reaches an altitude, or when about to land it will blow up. This would happen with the pilot totally unaware of what is about to happen. I know of one senator that probably by my supposition was killed along with his family with an atmospheric pressure device, although this can never be proven. The reason the authorities gave was an accident.

They told us if we have to go to the bathroom to relieve ourselves from the beer and pizza, we should do so during the game, not when the commercials are on. Consequently, I didn't see the interception by the rookie Patriot.

I remember reading that parts of Canada have the same problem with petrol-sniffing as parts of Australia.

For parts of rural Australia, especially in the Northern Territory, a new kind of fuel called "Opal" was developed, which you can't get high from sniffing. Several oil firms worked together to develop it, I think. The Canadians were really keen on it, but it just wouldn't work in a Canadian winter. So more oil firms worked together with the original Opal developers to develop something similar for Canada which wouldn't turn into a sludgy mess in the cold.

In Australia, there were varmints overrunning the continent. To control the varmints they imported rabbits. The rabbits did the job efficiently. Now Australia is overrun with rabbits.

    • Slight bending of the frame is possible with regular use, but Apple denies it is a problem.
    • Paint, frame, and even the windshield can be protected with 3rd party covers that make the car twice as wide.

Like any other religion; questions are not encouraged. Blind loyalty is expected. Unwavering faith is required.

They're going to need to increase the floor space in all of Apple's retail locations to sell the cars. Will they place them atop the big white tables? Also, Tesla will need to lease more space in a couple years too.

    For Apple or
The elephants in the automotive industry are Toyota, GM and Volkswagen. Volkswagen is probably a British company. Why do I believe Volkswagen is a British company? It is because when a country loses a world war it must sell its soul to the victor. (Meaning everything it has of value) Volkswagen probably sold their soul to the British and Toyota sold part or all of their soul to the US. For Apple to compete with these giants of building cars is analogous to a flea challenging an elephant to a tug of war!
