Hi folks. I have a 2012 prius that I just purchased. It has the touch screen nav but does not appear to support Entune. (No apps button) It does have a a2dp button option but I am not sure how to use it. I do have my phone paired with the bluetooth and it works great. I assume the a2dp stream music from my galaxy but not sure where to put it or if I need an app on my phone? Does the a2dp option look in a specific folder. When I press it it has the play/pause buttons but nothing shows up. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have a 2013 with nav and Bluetooth as well, and I haven't seen an a2dp button nor gotten my iPhone to play streamed music through the stereo. Bluetooth phone conversation works great though, just as you said. As far as entunes, I know the phone needs to be plugged into the adapter in the pull up center console closest the driver.(the usb). It's then that entunes interfaces with the stereo and adds feature selections to it. I'm interested to learn more about streaming music through the stereo!
Pearl S pairs twice with my Android phone, oncc for music and once for the phone. Never used the music. When I'm driving, I'm driving, not listening to music (usually don't even bother to answer the phone when driving as it's a distraction, though a "legal" one). Know nothing about "entune", nor do I care to. I was told the standard Android app for playing music would work. Never tried it either and again, don't care. You need to pair the phone twice to make it work this way. Once for the phone and once for music. It's in the menus on the car if you have the GPS option RTFM if not.
Ok, I see how it works...when I have the phone with me (its paired) I can go to AD2P mode on the radio....it plays whatever is playing on my phone through my radio. I was hoping that the prius radio could browse the music on my phone but thats not the case. The phone simply transmits what is playing on the phone to the car radio.
