just picked up a 2015 prius c 2. Dig it, crazy mileage. I'm pretty stoked on the look and set up. Came with the touch screen stereo, I guess betters speakers? And power everything. I went out looking at small cars , spark , fit, etc. ended up with the C. The mileage is a big deal for me.
I don't know where you live but it's winter and you might want to invest in some snow tires. I just got a set of MichelinXi3's for my 2014 Prius 3 these cars aren't that good in snow unless you have a good set of snow tires. But congratulations on your new Prius C
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he doesn't have to worry about snow tires. Nice looking car. Makes me want to upgrade to a '15.
They probably used the same 6-speaker set up as on 2014. They may sound horrible out of the box but after initial break in with proper set up they are o'k for what they are. I ran some audio tests and on new the best settings for linear response was +1 Bass, +2 Treble. After ~40hr the treble had to be dialed back to +1. Edit: here is a post with discussion on OEM speakers; it has links to audio tests Are the Prius c Two speakers that bad? | PriusChat
I don't like all the 2015 model toyota. They just like a frog opens it's big black mouth... I can always hear it says HA to me... I am sorry if this hurts anyone. Just want to share the feeling. Does anyone agree wit me? Don't know why they put such a big black plastic at the front. The interior are better than 2012 model. I will wait until they upgrade the new engine.
It seems very unlikely: "The Aqua is considered the most successful nameplate launch in Japan in the last 20 years. As of September 2014, the Aqua/Prius c is the second most sold hybrid of Toyota Motor Corporation after the regular Prius, with 853,800 units sold worldwide, and Japan is the market leader with 711,649 units sold. For two consecutive years, 2013 and 2014, the Aqua was the top selling new car in Japan." Toyota Prius c - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia"
The black part is glossy black. I kind of like the more aggressive look. The car is great. Came with the touch screen audio. I believe 6 speakers. I already put 500 miles on it this week. I bought it for work as i get paid 57.5 cents per mile and generally drive about 1000 + miles a month. Figure it will pay for itself rather easily. My only complaint is no back up camera and the stealership wants 375$ to install one. It would work off the factory head unit LCD. Averaging 52 miles a gallon with out trying. It seems to need an alignment already seems to pull slightly to the right. I plan on taking it in this week to have it sorted out. Some of the C's on here look awesome with the wheels and such. Mine will probably end up with a roof rack and Prius factory alloys at some point. that probably about it. thanks for the welcome.
Mine does it too! Not pull to the right it is more that the steering wheel needs to be turned a few degrees to the left. Annoys heck out of me, but our '10 Gen3 is the same way. Others here complained about it too. I suspect the alignment was done for LHD roads. Roads are slopped to the edge, and most cars are actually aligned to compensate for it. Well, imagine what would happen to the car if it has been aligned to be driven on wrong side of the road!
this pretty much nails it. I figure it would be a good idea as if there is a slight off set it would effect mileage, tire wear etc.. thanks Vic
I'll reserve my judgement until I see the results of alignment check. There are different ways of compensating for road crown: setting different camber on left and right sides, setting trust angle, and fitting steering wheel off center. Not sure how Toyota did it here.
I have an appiintment for Friday. I'll let you guys know what they say. Now just need to decide on roof rack.
