I'm not sure which forum to use so I'll try this one. When you disable the reverse beep you press and hold the Odo button and then press the Power button. When you reset the Service Reminder you press and hold the Odo button and then press the Power button. Is the Service Reminder reset when you disable the reverse beep? Thanks, Skip

When I turned off the reverse beep on Barb's 2005 at about 1000 miles, it did not seem to affect the service reminder which came on right when it should have (solid on at 5000 miles). I did my 2006 when I first picked it up new, so I won't be able to tell. - Tom
Thanks for the responses. The next time I disable the reverse beep (on a friends Prius) I'll watch the odometer readout to see if it indicates a reset of the service reminder. I forgot to post that mine is an '06. Skip
I disabled the reverse beep on my '06 and the maintenance light still came on at 5000 miles, so I guess it does not reset the maintenance light if it is off. I don't know if it will reset it if it is already on.
Since Disable Reverse Beep is a regular function, documented in the owner's manual, it should not affect the service reminder.
Both use the Power and the ODO buttons, but the timing is different. I accidentally reset the Maintenance reminder by forgetting that.
