Lease is up on our Nissan Leaf and we are considering heading back to toyota. Been looking at a ad for a 2013 plug in with 12,500 miles, they are asking 21k. Just a tad above kbb, but seems like a great price compared to what i see online etc Aside from taking it to dealer for pre purchase inspection, any concerns? Does price seem fair? Was going to hold out on 2016 volt after seeing it at portland car show, but need a car sooner rather than later. Any advice is appreciated
Since you're already familiar with the Leaf, ever consider purchasing a used Leaf? They depreciate like a stone, and at least in California, you can easily find them for $12K or less.
A used leaf can be had on CL for $11k in my area. $21k is a heck of a lot of money to spend on a rapidly depreciating piece of technology.
Ours is still at almost 100% , havnt lost a bar at 24 months, many to be had used at about 12-13k, but time to move on for us.
Do you have your overall efficiency with the Leaf? Wh/mi or mi/kWh or MPGe? $21k is a pretty good deal. I got my 2012 for about $25k after all the incentives.
Found a 2013 in local dealer, base model, with 10k miles asking 21,500 , seriously considering it, was going to wait on new volt, but really need a car before my lease runs out I figure 4 days a week i drive less than 11 miles per day, so i can use electric, other three days its 48 miles.
Its probably a fair price considering not too many PiPs out there...supply is really limited. The lowest I've seen is about $19k for a 2012 w/say 35k miles, but usually they want $20k or over. In a couple months the California green HOV stickers finally run out, which might free up PiP availability somewhat, I am thinking.
