What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

LOL - Drove it to the dealer to get a rattle in the dash checked out and while there also picked up a GenII… Good thing I had a passenger to drive it back home…

Installed the leather TRD shift knob to compliment the JDM leather steering wheel, so much better looking. Thank you @Rude person's for the quick shipping. I guess I can't stay away from this forum @Xterra72 @Accordlayingkit @Burna J

Swapped my Priuschat foglights with H11 LEDs. While I was on it, I also wired the fogs to turn on independently.

 

Yes, yet humble.. Its a commuter car for my mom..

And also today I updated my footwell lighting from amber to white…in the GenIII.. Lexus bulb and now Avalon bulb… Part# 81080-22040

Hey Gen III Fam, got home from work around 10p. Put the 2 little ones to bed and wife knocks out as well. Decided to do this little project to the Toyota emblems since I was still awake hehe.

















And Voila! The finished product. I may plastidip the emblem black...ahemmm @Burna J (good or bad influence? Especially after looking at all the blacked out mods lol) - I will be posting a DYI thread for this mod soon with step by step instructions hopefully by tomorrow. It was pretty fun!

Have you thought about going with the white plastidip ? It may look good with the color of your new, ( I'll say this quietly so your wife don't hear).......... rims..

Chris, yes I have hehe. I have silver carbon fiber wrap and now I'm thinking of swapping out the red

 

@Ramtart, you got off work early last night, I made it home a little after 2am, with another hours work waiting for me in my home office.

Still had time to swap the black carbon fiber badge backgrounds over to white.




No idea what it looks like on the car...

...but I will soon as I head back to continue production for Valentine's Day.

I went ahead and swapped out the red carbon fiber for the silver/gray. Figured it would look cleaner with the wheels I'm planning to put on. I wanted to keep the original badges, so I improvised and made a plastic template out of leftovers from the Auto Trim remover tool package I bought the other day haha. Low budget McGyver style lol.

Definitely a cleaner look.

 

Silver looks much better in my opinion.

I always prefer the more subdued look and besides, red doesn't go well with my spring wardrobe.

 

I also have the silver but went with the black for now, just to give it some contrast.

 

I'm waiting for a set to be delivered from Japan for contrast...

 

those tools are really nice for replacing interior lights as well. and i think i saw a YouTube vid of someone replacing the tail light with those too.
