Hello all, Peter from Australia. I drive a 2008 Prius (i-Tech variant), it's probably the last batch of gen 2 as I got it towards the end of 2008. A great car it is, way ahead of its time. The car came with 6 years warranty, 3 years from Toyota plus 3 years from the dealership, so I had it service at the dealer's workshop in order to keep the warranty in check. Now that the warranty period is well and truly over, I am starting to plan for doing my own maintenance. The car just ticked over 50,000km before the new year, so it doesn't have a lot of mileage. Hi Peter, I'm from Melbourne and recently drove our v up your way for a holiday. FE for the entire trip averaged 5.0l/100km over the 2004km. It did really well around the hilly Narabeen area, much better than my local suburb. You'll be very comfortable in the i-Tech!
