Antenna question guys

I believe the size is a bit different. Other than that I think it's just shape. The first one is more pointy. The second has more rounded edges.

 

I've been meaning to get a Shark Fin antennae since I bought my Prius, but I keep putting it off.

I did do some research, in anticipation of making the choice I never seem to get around to making.

And IMO the general consensus is no consensus. Both those products have their supporters and detractors. So I'd say the overriding factor should be which one you visually like best.

Because reviews on both are across the board, with "unsurprisingly" most people supporting the choice they happened to make.

 

Beatsonic is definitely larger.
The shark fin antenna is suppose to look more like toyota oem, Like the ones you see on the lexus.

I myself have the Beat Sonic. I have had no problems with it.

 

I have the shark fin from the PriusChat store. No issues with that one either. There's a pic on page 1 of my build page which is below in my signature

 

I'm not impressed with the HD reception of the stock antenna. I'd be curious how aftermarket ones compare.

That said, I'm also not impressed with how un-aerodynamic the shark fin antennas are. They'd likely have lower wind resistance mounting them backwards.
