Hey guys. Ever think about doing a mod and weren't sure if you should do it? I turn to you guys for your opinion. So I've been thinking of painting my roof black. Some say I shouldn't bother because it's already too close to black and some say I should go for it. My car is winter grey metallic. What do you think? Sometimes I need to think twice about doing a mod. Your opinion matters. Thanks!
Use a vinyl wrapping sheet, carbon fiber finish if it is between budget, if you do not like how it looks, you can peel it off.
Honestly, at this point, I think the OP want's more of an opinion as to whether he SHOULD do it, not HOW he should do it. Without seeing any pictures, because grey metallic with a painted roof is rare, my instinct is no. But I suppose it wouldn't look that much different than a winter grey metallic with the solar sunroof...at least it would look "kinda" like that. If you're on the fence about it? Some photo shop skills or somebody with photo shop skills could be your friend. White Prius that people have vinyl wrapped their roofs are NOT so rare. But I honestly have never seen anyone with a Grey Metallic do it. On the positive side....it would be unique.
You take a good sharp 3/4 angle top down photo in the most neutral light setting you can and I'll photoshop it for you. Let me know!
You got it right. Sorry if I wasn't too clear, guys. I am asking if I should do it, not how to do it. I'm leaning towards painting roof and top hatch plus shark fin. But I should've thought about photoshopping. Thanks for the idea, I'll fire it up.
