    UPDATE: Car is sold! 02/09/2015

    - Purchased certified pre-owned from Toyota of Berkeley in 2003. Maintained by Toyota of Berkeley and Art's Automotive; full maintenance records available.
    - 99,000 miles
    - Averages 40+ mpg consistently
    - ''Electric green mica'' color (aka forest green)
    - Cruise control and side impact air bags (very rare on a 2001!)
    - New tires (three brand new, and the fourth new in 2014)
    - HV battery (main hybrid battery) new at 55K miles; inverter and inverter coolant pump new at 76K miles
    - In stellar mechanical condition per Art's
    - Fair cosmetic condition (clean interior, some scratches and dings)
    - Two minor accidents (both ''parking lot collisions'' causing only cosmetic damage that has been professionally repaired; no mechanical damage)
    - Registered through April 2015; clean title
    - Terrific car that has served us well for over a decade, but our family has sadly outgrown it.
    - $4500 OBO
    - Interested? Send me a message for full details and photos!

I almost wish I was in the market for a vehicle.

Where I live you see a lot of Gen2, Gen 3 Prius, but a Gen 1 is getting to be a rare sight.
Kind of cool to be able to drive what is becoming a kind of unique vehicle.

I'm sure you will sell it.
Hope you don't regret doing so.

Thanks! We already miss its amazing turning radius--didn't realize how unique that was!:( It's a bittersweet parting for sure, but our family has grown so we had to bump up to a station wagon. (Sadly, not the Prius v although it was our runner up, which is where I really worry the regret will come in... ;) )

Car is pending sale. So this is probably so long, PriusChat--thanks for all of the help and advice over the years, and I hope someday we'll be back with a new Prius!
