Post-database apocalypse thread - 2014 Edition

Lots of posts in this thread with that complaint, but the forum owner hasn't done anything to fix it. If you want to send him a message, click on the envelope icon at the top of most pages and start a conversation with user name Danny.

I started to get warnings (from CleanMaster (Android App)) that TapaTalk was starting to misbehave itself, and it never really worked what I would call well, so I removed it - and a darned good thing, from what I read here - so Good Riddance! to TapaTalk and all who sailed in her!

 

Surfing Priuschat via normal website on my iPhone 4 has been working great, except for today where I got the notorious database error most the day. Obviously working now.

 

Crazy. Worked for me too. I had to clear some browser defaults first to get the prompt to come up.

So Tapatalk works but not when you use the conventional way to add the forum to the app. Still needs a proper fix.

I'm having a terrible time logging into PriusChat via my iPhone app. Here's a screen shot of what I get. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just wanted to add,although the above mentioned trick got Priuschat working on Tapatalk, it is only temporary. I'm getting the error message again.

 

Yes, exactly the same problem here with the Note 4.

 

I sent a tweet about the Tapatalk problem to Danny on February 1st and he replied:
"I'm trying, really! Software update coming tonight or tomorrow and I'm hoping that'll fix it."
I guess it didn't...

 

This site used to be compatible with the Tapatalk app on my various Android devices, but lately this has stopped working.

I get a popup message when trying to go to this forum that states something like:

"Tapatalk add-on file "addon-Tapatalk.xml" was not imported. Please inform the forum admin to complete the installation."

Is this just an oversight by the admin(s), or does this site just not work in tapatalk anymore?

Can someone explain how/ why tapatalk is so great? I've never used it and am wondering?

Priuschat just seems to work so darn good via its website from my iPhone that it would seems silly to use an "app" to acess it. I just wish that on the motorcycle fourm I'm a member of I could post pics directly from my phone like you can here (supposedly they make you set up an outside photo hosting place)...

Can you link multiple web fourms to tapatalk is that what's so special? Thx.

 

The main advantages for me are multiple forums all in one place and a simple interface with minimal finger work (at least until they messed it up on a recent update). None of the constant loading and re-loading of pages that you get when navigating around a forum using the phone's browser.

I use Tapatalk because I subscribe to quite a few forums and it's convenient to have them all in one place with a common interface.

How do you access the mobile version of PC? When I go to priuschat.com using Safari on my iPhone it just brings up the regular website, which is not at all convenient to use on a small screen.

I use Tapatalk and Safari. I like Tapatalk because it has many forums all in one place. While I use Safari, I usually only do it on the Mac.
