Sounds more like an SUV-vehicle application to me.

Under the Japanese testing. Bring it over here and it'll be 35mpg at best. You really think the same hybrid powertrain in those vehicles will get better mpg than an Avalon Hybrid or ES300h with nearly the same setup?

So, a dealer is quoted: as underlined above! Toyota sees sales boost from trucks, Tacoma

    "low chatter all around"...

"Will people buy this? Looks like an alien..."

"Kind of cool...looks like the mIrai "

Wouldn't there have been an applause versus low chatter ? Lol

Maybe, the "chatter" was ...... I can't believe this. Or, You got to be joking.

Or, perhaps they sat in overwhelming stunned awe ....... words like brilliant, splendid, magnificent forming in their brains, but they were too awe struck to utter them. Possibly ........................ Let's hope.

Has anyone heard what the latest news/ rumours on when what and how about the the 2016 Prius?

I have not checked in a while and was curious about any new information.

Absolutely agree!! There are so many alternate options coming out and if the Prius doesn't make a HUGE Splash for making us wait this long then their sales may not be as robust as they think...!

If there is a picture out there that they are showing dealers, you would think someone would post it somewhere on the internet?!?

Um, anyone seen the refreshed 2015 Prius v front end in person? I have. Let's hope that doesn't spill over into the 4th Gen.

Too ugly to own and I am one of the people that think the present Prius look is spectacular. I like tomorrows look not yesterdays. After 3 Prii the new Prius had better be "better" as I too am looking seriously at the Volt. All the front ends of the new Toyotas and Lexuses are ugly.

I agree. I will be in the market for a new car in the next 12 months, and as of right now, I'm not seeing much from Toyota that I like. Hopefully, when the Prius is actually released, and I can look at it in the showroom, I will be impressed. Right now, I do not even want to see that v (lowercase v for the Prius v) on the road.

Well, that appears to be one way to ace the small overlap frontal test. Extend the actual metal bumper's width and in turn, extend the plastic bumper's width. They had to design a current model update with a new safety standard. That's a quick turn around. Toyota could've waited til the next gen but then that'll be too long so as far as I'm concerned, good on them to act on upgrading the safety of the vehicle.

The front end on the new 2015 Camrys has grown on me. Too bad Camrys are Not so "tall friendly": At 6'2", Camry headroom is borderline. The front seats, especially bottom cushions are awfully small. Trouble is, Toyota can point to the Avalon and say "that car is for tall people"
But, Avalon's have a high starting price. Accord, Altima and Sonata all beat Camry for tall drivers.
    Back to the regular program.

Tideland Prius, it is commendable to seek for something good, and point out the positive. But it is still ugly as hell. (IMO)
