Hmmm, it's a possibility, but I've been underneath my car in the back and I've not seen any leaking...

Honda dealership recently mentioned same thing for my wife's Honda Civic - the skeptic in me is thinking that this is an easy job for dealerships to make quick $$ on. Both cars drive fine, and do not feel floaty over bumps - they still drive tautly. You can definitely tell when a car has worn shocks while driving on a freeway - the car will bounce up and down for a while after having been upset by a bump in the road.

Purchased the PIP at the end of may 2014, currently at 24k miles.

My 2012 PiP is purring along at 62k miles. Original tires still look good and seems on track to my 100k mile goal for them. I was expecting to catch up to Godzuki in the next couple of years but I've made plans to move closer to work in the next couple of months. So I'll rest easy at second place.

Only have two issues. Entune does not work with iOS 8 podcasts. I can play if I start the app on the phone but navigating within iTunes no longer works. It just searches forever on screen while the phone indicates it is playing. I'm using an old iPod touch with ios 6 hoping someone fixes it.

The ICE transition is noticeably rougher now than when new especially turning on. It's still way smoother than my sister's gen 2 ever was but I remember when I hardly noticed on the PiP and needed to look at the HSI. Granted it might also be because I am used to my car now and notice all the subtleness of it.

Wow, that's what I'm hoping for, too. Any tips you use to get extra long life?

I would bet it's because you are more attuned to it.

I always assumed my tires last so long because they're mostly highway miles but Godzuki's were changed at 72k. I don't take care of my tires beyond keeping them inflated and I rotate at 10k miles at an OCI as opposed to the 5k recommended because I can't be bothered.

The only thing I can think of is I practice Driving Without Brakes (DWB). It pisses off a lot of drivers as I see most people prefer 1/3 my following distance. My non-hybrid Civic brakes lasted some 125k miles and that was because the pads became uneven, not because they were worn. I may never have to change the brakes on the PiP.

Here's a pic of my original Yokohama Avids at 72k right before I got new tires...

I likely could have rolled to 80k as I was not yet to the tire wear bars - though I was getting close. Most of the miles on the tires were highway miles. One tip for reducing wear on tires is to make sure that when you are turning your front tires, if possible, have the car also be moving forwards or backwards at least a little bit - this reduces the amount that the tire will be scrubbing against the pavement.

Cool stories. I'm surprised nobody has more than 100,000 miles on these cars. I'm hoping mine goes to 200,000 at least!

Wow! You're way out in front of me. Mine just turned over 65,400 today. But it only had 52,400 when I got it last December.

Used to make lots of Minneapolis, Kansas City, and Arkansas road trips in it. And there was a year span in there where I used to go 130 miles a day most days of the week.

When I filled up today, it was the first time with no trips more than about 25 miles. Got 953 miles on this tank. Best ever by more than 100 miles! I probably could have gone another 3 days, but would have been cutting it pretty close since the last pip was blinking. Only about 1000 miles last month. May was over 1600 miles.

I've got 105,000 and it needs to last at least until 200,000! (I stupidly leased it first, and will be paying it off forever. Lesson learned. But at least I love it and it's a great car!)

It wasn't clear to me if the 220K one was a PIP?
