Most popular Prius color?

Just guessing, but I would say the silver or the super white. I was torn between those two, but eventually went with the super white. In hindsight, tho, I wish had the beige interior instead of the gray interior. The gray dashboard is pretty dark, almost black, and I'm concerned it will fade quickly in our hot Louisiana summers.

Since Prii are in such high demand people often settle for second or third choice on color, I'd say the most popular color is the color they manufacture the most of. Probably silver.

 

Here in SW New Mexico we have a large number of Driftwood Pearl... hides the dirt...

 

ummm......unabashedly........Barcelona Red.

What? Barcelona Red was only made starting this year?

Ask me if I care. hehe I still say my Red beauty.

In the SF Bay Area, I can say for sure that it is Silver. That's ALL I see, and I keep trying to get in the wrong car.

 

Silver is either what they make the most of or it's the least popular color. I have two Priuses, and my father has one. All three were walk-in buys of the only Prius on the lot. All three are silver.

So, either they make so many silver ones that they are the ones most likely to be on the lot, or silver is actually the least popular color so that all the other colors get snatched up leaving only the silver ones left on the lot. Probably a little of both.

Silver is the most produced by far. Black is by far the coolest! LOL.

 

They produce 2x more SIlver than any other color for the Prius and have since 2004 (that I know of) after talking with the Empress of Prius (Dianne).

 

I have to second that, Denny A.... Mine is also Barcelona Red and probably on the boat with yours!

Hope they have a SMOOTH RIDE to their new homes!!!

I disagree. Black would certainly be the hottest not the coolest. White would be the coolest, followed close behind by silver.

 

There is a poll here about colors. I was surprised by the number of Seaside Pearls. The Prius I rented was Silver and for a while I was seeing mainly Silver.

 

Seaside Pearl, definitely. I have had enough of silver cars (hondas, all of them) and green cars (first car- a Chevy Malibu). We wanted this one to be different, to stick out in our family. So, it is blue, and I love it!

 

It's been said that no matter what color your Prius is, it's still Green.

I wanted a Seaside Pearl, but I wanted/needed the car more than a specific color, so I took what was availble for both of mine, and so they are both silver.

There is an interesting problem with having two silver '05 Priuses. The service department gets all flustered when we make an appointment. They see two silver '05 Priuses in the computer and can't tell one from the other. After a little bit of head scratching, the serivce writer and I finally came up with the solution of providing the last four digits of the VIN number when I schedule service.
