I can see no reason why the part 89540 from a 2004 to 2009 Prius should not work in your car.

Dear Mr John and all members

Thanks for the all the support and advice given to me.People Like Mr John really encourage me when I had this problem.

Last Sunday whole morning I was in my garage with expert mechanic who look after my other cars all the years. We mange to remove the ECU from my car but the part no which I got and in the car is not matched. I feel really upset > I got the part no from Toyota before purchasing the new one.(02 Toyota dealers confirm the same part no)
My guy said that not to worry your part no from Toyota is 8954047120 original from the car is 8954047020 but serial nos of the part is same.
He fixed the new ECU and we had a test drive touch wood so far no VSC error code. I have driven nearly 50 mile on this weather condition Im very happy car drives very well and giving more MPG too,
Happy ending with your support and advice hope this will help someone like me later on.I think who ever wants to replace the ECU donot just buy the ECU check with Toyota whats the part no for your car Luckily I got it from e bay costing £160.00.

    Thank you again,

    Kind Regards,
    Sam Da Silva
