DIY JDM style side mirrors combo lights (Signal+Parking+Courtesy lights)

Quick question - for the ones who ordered the turn signal mirrors from MIT on eBay - did you end up paying import/brokerage fees upon delivery? I've never used EMS for shipping and if it's anything like DHL, that means I'll have to sell my first born.

I ordered several items from MIT and didn't had to pay any import tax or fees.

 

The diy instructions is pretty detailed i guess you can do it!

MIT on eBay shows 25$ to ship with EMS

 

I'm in the USA. I guess you're seeing something else. Mine always shows free shipping from mitaccessories.

 

Ohhh! I see... the Canadian address changes everything.

Anyhow, the shipping charges aren't what I'm worried about, it's the import/brokerage/admin fees that you have to cough up at the door. I've never used EMS courrier. I've been raped a few times by DHL and FedEx when ordering out of Asia.

Hello all, installed the LED side mirrors from MIT but so far it's not so promising.....

1. Only the left driver side LED seems to be doing a fast flicker when ever it's on...flickers even during signal...so signal on off on off but during the on it flickers......like its nervous light if it makes sense, just not solid...kinda like a florescent tube lights gonna burn. The right passenger is fine. The Could this a wiring issue...a bad ground? a bad 12V? is that possible? I'd like to consult you all before I message MIT.

 

I would disconect ur wires for that mirror & connect directly to a 12th source to rule out any wiring issues.

If it conts to flicker then u have a bad signal unit on the mirror.

Thanks for information. Could you advise what is a 12th source? If it still flickers then I have to get a new LED unit from MIT?

 

He's referring to a 12v source. 12th would be an auto correct blunder.
