hi. is there tentative date when the new MY15 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) will hit the showrooms? Is it before the Xmas or Q1 2015?

    Thank you.

Pretty good video letting you see some real world shots of the new face. I like it.

Unless the new v's are faster I'm still happy I got my 2013 in Feb. 2014. Mine looks virtually identical inside to the '15 v.
My $24,400. price will never happen again, esp. with the dealer extras I got including remote start.

I saw them at my dealer and was very unimpressed with the "nose job". All else appears to remain the same except for the updated tail lights.

I saw one at my dealer today. The nose job was much more tolerable to my eye in person than it is in pictures. The interior had an odd multi-colored and patterned fabric that I didn't like. Didn't look at the sticker. It may be that, with limited availability, they are seeding each dealerships with a high end sample.

Was on toyota.com today and noticed the Prius v they have there is listed as a 2014 model. Odd bit of marketing.

Not really that odd. The dealers need to move out a lot of 2014 models and don't want Toyota advertising the 2015 too soon. They're in no hurry to discount a bunch of stock.

    Her's my .02 cents.

Spouse and I bought our new '14 v three just about a month ago...don't even have 1k miles on the ODO yet. I was on the fence about waiting for the '15s, but peeked at the '15 front fascia when preliminary pics came out. We just didn't care for the larger, scoop-appearing front end. I guess I might tolerate it if it was color-matched to the body paint, but I still can't get past the image of it being something of a bolt-on (kind of like my neighbor, who bought a new white Ford Mustang and ripped off the stock hood to install a black-colored lightweight hood....it just doesn't look right....). Just my opinion...

After researching the '14 and '15 we decided there wasn't really any significant model year change: no real powerplant, trannie or battery improvements, interior is virtually the same, exterior is basically the same, (I actually like the '14 tail lamp assembly better than the '15). And we paid less than 22,500.00 for the outgoing '14-- in CA---a virtual bargain.

I will add that I am not a fan of dark-colored car interiors (...which has become THE fad for the past few years---- manufacturers think ALL buyers want all-black interiors, for some reason). What happened to beige or tan interiors, with matching carpet and door trim? We owned an '03 Accord EX-L with tan interior and it was a classy ride. Received many compliments on the interior color. Even the floor mats matched!

I've got my '14 Bisque fabric-interior, which I presume is no longer offered (bisque interior now in softex only, as far I can tell). So, I'm a happy '14 v three owner.

I found the new center info display is very rashly put together. Too many different sections with plastic borders.

The clock is so strangely put on the top right corner.

I think its good that they did away with the large single display being reflected forward, it caused too many problems.
But clearly they dropped the ball on the new design.

I brought a 2015 Prius v w/ATP, silver exterior with black interior. It was the only 2015 Prius v Five w/ATP in the area. No discount, I got a 3 year paid maintenance instead. The front grill isn't as bad as I read on this forum. It was not a deal breaker. The car is quieter than my 2013 Prius v w/o ATP. It rides very nicely, very smooth. The radio is very clear, just like listening in your room in your house. I received $17,000 trade in value for my 2013 Prius v Five w/o ATP with 32,800 miles. The sticker price on the 2015 Prius v w/ATP was $35,389. I brought it straight away.

Pretty generous trade in, I suspect some numbers were swapped around. But interesting comparison

$18k for 33k miles. Even when you subtract out the added cost for the ATP that depreciation seems high.

What made you decide to do it? What about the 2015 did you value to make you willing to spend?

When my Prius v5 was rear ended/totaled last June 2014, I had it for 14 months with 24k+ miles, and received $26.3k from the insurance company. Obviously it was full retail value to replace it, so $17k trade-in seems low. I am now a fan of selling my vehicles before buying another one. I WAS going to replace it a 2014 model year, but found out it failed the IIHS small overlap crash test, but I see they improved the 2015's to pass it. Unfortunately I couldn't wait and safety was an obvious top-of-the-list item for me at the time, so the Passat diesel fit the bill for me. I really don't like where Toyota is going with their redesigns. Just helped my Mom buy a new car and she settled on the 2015 Subaru Legacy Premium. She wouldn't even look at the Camry or Prius - she said they were too ugly. The Subie gets decent mileage but she only drives 5-6k miles/yr in the Portland, OR area, gas expense is not a big deal for her, and the AWD may come in handy with all the rain and occasional snow/ice. Plus she got heated cloth seats, the one of the things she really wanted in a new car, something not yet available on Toyota's if I'm correct.

Toyota does seem to have seriously screwed up the styling, which began with the hideous family "tail lights". I can deal with the new Camry style and the Corolla, but needed a bag when I saw the new version of my v. Whereas most brands have really focused on decent styling, Toyota's gone the other way. I'm almost scared to see what the new Prius hatchback looks like.

Hi Diane. My one big question. I just purchased a C 2 in absolute red. My question is how well will my absolute red color hold up. I plan on keeping this car a long time but now I am concerned that the red will fade over time. My car is outside all the time. Any suggestions?
