Yep, the topic says it all. I found that the stereo exports the serial port profile over bluetooth. I had assumed that it might be a way into the CANbus, but found out it is not. Anybody know whats on the other side?
Yes that is the original design...the unit exports both media and calling profiles...which receives the audio and calling functions of the phone. But the tricky thing is the stereo not only exports those profiles, but a serial port as well. Exactly what you'd see (and connect to) by hooking up one of those bluetooth obd scanners. I recall from the "news" about the "hackers" wirelessly picking apart a Prius, my first thought is that was the way in - but I dont seem to see anything on the other side of the connection.
